Well, everyone here knows how supportive I am of VFK. I know they had a rough day today, with more server traffic than expected and probably too much going on in game. But, this really upset me. After trying to go through the Host Event or even trying to log on and just enter a room, I was hoping the lag would let up enough to be able to hunt for eggs. Then a message pops up that the Egg Hunt is done for today? What? The homepage says through Monday. 

I understand they might be trying to fix some bugs with the egg hunt, maybe that was part of the problem with room loads, but at least tell us that. I know we are still testing things for them. I look at these days like test days for new activities or crowd levels, but this just makes no sense to me. 

King sent in a help message and we will see if he gets an answer as to what is happening. Sigh.

I just got back from Easter dinner at the in-laws (which was good and fun time!) yay!

But, greatly disappointed to log in right away and find that the egg hunt ended (I was looking forward to hunting eggs tonight!)     

Would be nice if we knew exact times for these things.

VFK NEVER posted specific times for the Egg Hunt.  I assumed we could do this at our leisure.  Apparently not.   

I didn't even start this thing.

I never did get through this evenings Host Teleporter Event, but I did get through this morning -- so that's okay.



As well.. It was a beautiful Easter anyway spent with family and delicious food, and I hope everyone else had a wonderful day too.

I was planning to do some egg hunts too and the message popped up... sigh....

Anyone know how many of those little eggs are out there? And also, how many gold eggs you receive per character?

Sigh.  Add me to the list of disappointed people who were going to hunt eggs later in hopes that lag would be less.  Unpleasant surprise for Flamanar & Co.

Funny that ending the games and egg hunt didn't have much of an effect on server load.  It's still difficult for me to get on game!

I too am disappointed.  I thought it would at least go on till closing and then they would start it up again tomorrow cause I had so many crashing issues that I didn't want to miss the Host line over it so I stopped and was going to do it later on as well.    Its a hunt anyway, so why end a hunt?    Just let people walk around and enjoy themselves.

Yes me too I was sad . But he egg hunt was not fun with the lag. I would hit an egg and  I would say by the end I was cracking them and waiting 15 seconds for it to say yes I had it and because I kept clicking it again again I would get 10 messages that I already found that egg.

Some were not working in the fairy fields.

I think VFK was not the only one with issues today. Wizards 101 was disconnecting all the time when hubby and I tried to play. Seems a lot of games were on the screwy.

Maybe its better they extend the egg hunt when the bugs are fixed. I think they will do that. Then we can all have fun finding them instead of the agony of lag city. Seems like an aweful long day of waitng.

And by the tone of Fin's message she had had enough too. Though it was not rude or anything just not so lovely dovey lol.

Also what a pain to have to dump your entire inventory to get 300 eggs.

When are we going to be able to sell these back or at least take some of our usless furniture to the dump. The ones in beta that we can not sit on and do not work right.

OK - Egg Hunt update straight from Vintage. (After we offered a round of drinks for the VFK staff  )

The Egg Hunt is only off shortly to let the servers recover and give the developers a chance to update. She said this was their big "stress test" before Space Age and now they know how many more servers they will need to add. She said for most of the day, they have had over 100 people trying to log in per second! Wow!

She said the entire team has been there for the last several days preparing for today and they still did not imagine this many players would be on.

Oh, and the Hunt is back on!

 Wish I could log on...got on for a minute this morning, been gone all day and now..'servers are busy'....sigh..

...they have had over 100 people trying to log in per second! Wow!

As long as they realize a lot of those "100" people are the same person just trying again and again to log in once and getting the server is busy message, or retrying after crashing.

I got the information from Vintage yesterday while i was Egg hunting... She said its the only prize you receive. I just finished Pixie's egg hunt, and managed to receive 4 Golden Eggs! So, you can at least win 4 Golden Eggs per account.

Eggs are also hidden in Merfolk and Fairy worlds and some a stuck! So, be warned.

I seem to have been finding A LOT of stuck eggs!  I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong, or if they truly cannot be clicked on?   

Examples: 

All the ones on Victorian Main Street (4 total)

1 stuck in the tree at Victorian Cross Roads

1 on the Victorian Map (Summer Park)

2 in the tree at the Zoo
