Listen peeps, strange thing happened to me tonight.  I tried to log in under my "real" person (Vellamint of course) and it would keep bringing me back to the sign in screen...no error message.

I tried to log in under an alias and was able to get in right away.

SOoooo...I clicked on "forgot password"  to see what the heck was going on and when it emailed me my password it was NOT my password.

No I did not change my password...I have NEVER changed my password since the first month of VMK.  No I did not change my password at Disney.com.  What the heck??  So I changed my password at Disney.com (back to what it was originally I might add) and was able to log in!!!

Any ideas anyone?  Hey....I am thinking I maybe should go and change that password to something totally different.

Umm, to me that sounds like you want to RUN not walk, to change that password to something entirely different!  (Any chance one of the kids got your original password? Then changed it for some reason?)

The part of not being able to log in, does seem suspect.

The fact that the emailed you something it was not, is normal.

Here is the reason:

Most often they, for security reasons, do not know your password. When you say you forgot your password, most sites will reset it to something random and advise you to change it on your first log-in.

That said, it is not a bad idea to change passwords for anything you want secure ever 1-3 months.
