Hi!
I just tried the trading card game.   It is up.  Seems to be in preview mode.  When I won there was not prize awarded.

I was on a black screen for a while as the game loaded. If this is posted in the wrong place, please let me know.  I was not sure if it went here or in news.

Although, after playing it twice.. I am done.  Unless they allow us to play with other players, and/or a chat feature.  Sure prizes would be nice too.. but unless the prizes are some spectacular new stuff.. this duck just finds it lame.  No challenge, no skill, just dumb luck based on a random selection by a computer.

DS (17) took a shot at it too.. he plays many trading card games and even goes to tournaments.. he too wondered  was up with such a no-brainer, and left actually irritated at having wasted those couple of minutes!    Kids!

From the looks of this, it seems like this is just a "teaser" to get us familiar with the game.

It will be interesting to see what they do with this game.  My kids were wondering if they were going to bring out real trading cards- like the one Webkinz has.

In the upper corner of the game, near the trophy, the coming soon options include:

• Playing against another player
• Earning "special cards and characters" for your decK (and trophy room  )
• "Power" VMK trading game

I agree...still not very exciting.  I was hoping for prizes we could use in "real vmk".    Perhaps earning the items listed on the trading cards.

It seems to me, after trying to make it so simple myself... That it is not as simple as it seems, even against the computer opponent, though a thinking human will be even more challenging.

To pick the highest number on your card is not always the best play, I won one hand by choosing the lowest number on my card, and a 3 to my opponent's 7.

I do hope that some of the items on the cards are either coming to the main game and/or prizes, among them were a "Tower of Terror Lightning Magic", how cool would that be?

Still nothing in the way of prizes or anything.  I'm guessing soon though.
