Hi All,
Here is an article talking about Kingsisle games (Wizard 101 and Pirate101) and "the Pixar effect" as they call it.  This is basically saying how it caters/appeals to all ages from kids to grandparents.

Hi All,
I wanted to update this post to tell everyone that Pirate101 will be out of closed beta in October.  They are also offering a couple of pre-sale bundles now that will include exclusive items and also give the chance to play before everyone else. 
I have been playing in the closed beta for awhile.  It is really nice, such pretty detailed graphics, and it truly is different from Wizard101.  It is not card based.  It's still very family friendly but is for slightly older kids and adult of course.  I am happy to answer any questions you may have, it's been out of NDA for some time now.  As always, I am happy to add any NoBSers in Wiz or Pirate101.

Hi all,
This is the last Pirate101 post unless people have specific questions or show interest. Today Pirate101.com is open to everyone.  The beginning is free to play so you can check it out.  It is really family friendly and appeals to all ages, much like our beloved VMK was.  If you already have a Wizard101 account you can use the same user name and password.  You can't be logged into both at the same time though.
