Hello citizens. It's the first of the month and that means it's time to reveal our October Loyalty Challenge item.

Last month we began a new series - Ancient Egyptian Relics - the first item of which was the fantastic statue of Anubis. This month we've got the second item in the series, and with November just one month away, there's just four weeks to go until the Loyalty Challenge reward is revealed!

If you're new to the Loyalty Challenge, here's how it works. Once you have each of the three items in a current series, you can take them to the Combobulator Laboratory and transform them into something really fantastic (we'll reveal just what that item is in November).

Ancient Egyptian Baast Relic

Cats were revered in Ancient Egypt and the goddess Baast (a cat deity) had a huge following. So highly were cats venerated that they were given the same mummification rites after death as humans. In 1888, a huge tomb was discovered containing eighty thousand cat mummies. When a cat died, an Ancient Egyptian household would go into mourning just as they would for a person. Such was the strength of feeling towards cats that killing one, even accidentally, could even incur the death penalty.

Its very clear that the cat was an animal that was afforded the greatest respect in Ancient Egypt, and we've created this new Egyptian Relic with this in mind. It's just so beautiful, I'm sure that Baast herself would bestow her divine approval upon it. Make sure you complete your Loyalty tasks in October so that you don't miss out!

Earning Your Loyalty Challenge

The weekly challenge is to earn 6 Loyalty Points each day, for three days in a row.  Here are all the ways you can earn your points:
st_1001_baast_small.png

• Complete a Featured Mission - You get +6 Loyalty Points

• Complete an offer with one of our great offer providers (head to The Factory or try one of the Offer Machines in any SmallWorlds store) - You get +6 Loyalty Points

• Look after your pets - You get +1 Loyalty for every new Pet Point you've earned

• Harvest or successfully cross-pollinate a plant - You get +1 Loyalty Point

• Play Spin-to-Win - You get +1 Loyalty Point

• Play a Tournament Game - Points are earned according to your score (only awarded if the minimum score is met).
Check Your Progress on your Front Page

You can check your progress using the Loyalty Challenge panel on your Front Page.

This panel shows you how many Loyalty Points you've earned for the current week, and which gem you're on. One progress marker fills up for each Loyalty Point you earn. When all six are full, the current day's challenge is complete and one third of the current gem will fill.
Have fun earning your gems in October!

As you can see from the list above, it's really easy to earn enough points to ensure that you earn your very own Statue of Baast. I hope you're enjoying this gorgeous new series; I can;t wait to see what the third item will be! (not to mention the sure-to-be-fabulous Loyalty Reward item!)

A short reminder, set collecting has the potential to make you some rather healthy profits! Do take a read of this article if you haven't managed to already.

I'm looking forward to seeing you next month with my TWO pieces of exciting Loyalty news!

Thanks for the update, Happy.  These will go great in Egyptian themed rooms.  Wonder what they will combobulate into?  :hmmmm:
