Wondering if this was like last time though, prizes depending on how many rooms you judged?  Not sure, I did my 50.


Edit:  I also just tested to see if this stuff was tradeable.  HAHA CLONES -- it's NOT!   GREAT work VFK!     That will show them, huh?  Makes a lot of sense to enter a clone or judge as a clone, when none of those prizes are tradeable!

Sigh.  While this is a good thing, it's also very bad.  Look for even more clones for the next competition...looking to load up on participation prizes.  Sigh again.

Changed the title of this thread so it makes more sense.  Feel free to modify it if it needs to be tweaked.

Those are great prizes...the one time though I decide not to participate and they give out great prizes.

Yes, I'm going to edit again, as I have more screen shots to add to the first post.  



Also, I did hear from a few people that didn't finish all 50 rooms for judging.  They only received a few of the prizes.  So it must be tied in somehow on how many rooms you judged, on whether or not you received all 4 prizes from judging.  idk where the cut-offs are though.  Last time VFK told us.  It was every 50 you got a prize.

There is actually some talk around on one of the fan sites that  a few ppl got a message that told them their room did not score high enough to earn a participation award...

Right now there are only 1-2 that have said that they got this message; it was in response to them sending a HELP report asking why they did not have a Pin or a Shirt in their inventory.

I know of 2 ppl that sent in such HELP reports for said missing items, and neither of them have gotten any response as of yet.

I will keep everyone posted if I can confirm that indeed you had to achieve a certain score to earn participation awards.  There is talk that this is the way VFK is handling the "junk" rooms that were submitted.

I won't even go into the fact that the Home Page CLEARLY stated that only the winners of the Best Judging award were supposed to get the "special" furnish....

We shall see.

I really like the four furni given for judging the 50 rooms!  At first, I thought those were the special furni for Best Judges, but then I realized everyone got those for judging the 50 rooms.  I'm glad everyone got these items because they are really cute and I know everyone will enjoy them!

Having said this, I still haven't received any additional special furni for winning Best Judge within a point of the room averages.  It said in home page:

The Room Judging Pin, Special Furni and 5,000 credits will be awarded to the judges who are within 1 point of the room averages.

I hope they didn't forget about us.

Yes, Trophies are only for those that placed in the event.

I'm leaning towards this might not happen.  Reason being, it hasn't happened before, with any of the judging events.  The only difference between everyone judging and those that were best judge -- were the credits and pin.

We'll see ... but for now I'm guessing this event is over and done with.  Staff is already talking about possibilities for upcoming events.

So if anyone does ever hear or see anything different, let us all know!

Sorry guys, it's done and over with according to VFK.  No special furni for Best Judges.  We all get the same for judging.  Which, I do understand why.  No Best Judge in the past has ever gotten special furni either. :

Aww...They should be more careful on how they word things, specially on wording things in a section they made for Judging the Judges.  We didn't make that up, VFK wrote it. They could have stated in a clear way that everyone who judged all rooms got special furni and that Best Judges would get same special furni, and in addition to that, BJ pin and credits.   It is so easy to write the correct information.

It would have been nice if they would have at least changed the Best Judge Pin.  They made new pin for the Blitz Best Judges. So, if past judging awards are being looked upon for not awarding special furni to Best Judges this time and fixing their mistake, then it should mean for all next Blitz competitions that same Blitz BJ pin will be awarded. And, again, if past judging awards are the reason, this would mean from now on every Best Judge for entering a room in a normal competition where you have time to create your room, would have to get the same pin Best Judges got for Garden and Castle. So, what would be the point in trying to judge the best we can?  Only the satisfaction that you judged fairly every room you were taken to.  This could mean that judging might become something ppl will rush through just to get it over with when they already have that pin.  So, I wouldn't mind going back to waiting forever for results and have VFK Staff Judge them like they did for past Ride Competitions.  If Staff went back to judging and ppl knew staff was going to the rooms to judge, I am sure that would take care of the bogus entries and staff could see first hand if the entries are valid. I know some ppl didn't get castle shirt and castle pin bc their rooms scored low, but I have seen some and they have castles or something built with sand.  So maybe it would be a good idea to have Staff judge again.

The past has shown us that WHEN VFK communicates with us...they usually leave out important details, give confusing or conflicting information, or just plain muddy up the waters.  If they haven't changed in 2+ years, it ain't gonna start now.  If there's one thing that VFK has a reputation for, it's being UNclear.  The ironic thing about this is that it only takes minutes to change words on a webpage.  Yet instead of doing so, they end up heaping an IMMENSE amount of extra work on their in-game staff...who are bombarded with questions, chastised, etc. whenever they're seen.  IT CONTINUES TO MAKE NO SENSE TO ME WHY THEY DON'T WORD THINGS CLEARLY NOR COMPLETELY...WHEN THEY DO COMMUNICATE WITH US!!

I'm really sorry the judges didn't get what was supposed to be coming to them.  Yet another reason why VFK contests are not that interesting to Flame anymore.  VFK takes the simple things, makes them complicated...then proceeds to try to bandaid them up or fix them the wrong way.

Now, I'm the complete opposite.  ROFL.  If I participate...and maybe win...in future contests, I won't be happy if I win the same prizes as before.  Just like I was PO'd that the Flames raced our butts off for the last racing competition...and were really jipped out of 3 new '1st place' suits and a few different prizes, since we already had those.  Why waste my time again?  There's no incentive for me to continue to participate.  If VFK wants people to continue to participate in events, they need to change up the prizes each contest. 

Different perspectives and viewpoints...but that's what makes each of us unique
