Yeah. It stinks. No advance warning on the event calendar for EITHER game, and people on game after the initial blast were oblivious to both games. Very uncool, IMHO.
The queue system: sigh. This new system is completely random. You are never 'in' the queue until they let the next batch of players come in. The computer then randomly picks from the players the computer has identified (queue checked) as being 'available' and randomly chooses the players who will be in the next queue. So, yes. You can have 4 players logged on, and it's very probable that your first person may never get in, your second and fourth players get in very soon, and your third player takes hours to get in. Random.
The problem like Pix said is: we don't know till almost the last minute that we're 'in' the queue, because the queue only goes out to ninth place. So if you have to go to the little boys/girls room, or have a quick bite to eat, or get a phone call (you know...real life stuff), you very well may get pulled into the queue and the room and get booted...all before getting back!
Screen shots: I'm not sure what they're thinking with that. We had that same situation. Someone was in the queue and crashed. Help report was sent. They asked for a screen shot?! What the....

I guess we could have sent them a pic of a black computer screen. What an odd thing to request! I've heard of others having the same experience. They want screen shots. OF WHAT? LOL.
I've heard that if you DC while in the queue and log back in fast enough, your place in line is preserved. Haven't tested that yet, but encouraging news.
I've seen people on other boards say things about the lack of notice, comparing this event to host hunts. However, with host hunts, there are continuous blasts. So no matter when you log in, you very quickly know there's a host hunt event going on. Not so with yesterday events. I feel sorry for the people who were bored and playing solitaire or something while the games were running all the while.
ETA: I did think of an alternate and quicker solution to the current teleporter games. Instead of having one room with 6 teleporters, and people jamming up at the entrance...and slowing down the queue by taking a long time to pick a teleporter, talk to the host, be AFK, etc...why not open 6 host rooms, each with a different teleporter ride? The player selects the teleporter UP FRONT by selecting which room to go to. When they enter the room they selected, they're automatically put on a ride and either win or lose. Seems to me this would completely eliminate having to boot people from the entrance...after trying to divine whether they are AFK or not. It would also free up people to be able to walk away from their computer for a brief bit and come back without fear of being pulled into a room, being judged AFK and booted. Possibly less lag as well, eliminating people from DC'ing upon entering the game room who have not yet picked a teleporter. I've seen hosts handle more than one ride room at a time, so this is a possibility. Right now, it's a mess with the hosts being essentially 'cattle herders'. Telling people to pick a porter, asking people if they are AFK, answering a bunch of questions, the list goes on. Theoretically, it would make the queue/queues run like lightning. And people could still talk to the host while on the ride if the host was in the room at the same time. Right now the main thing slowing down the queue is a mass of people in the game room...all with different statuses/agendas. Just a thought.
