American Crossword Puzzle Week 2/26 - 3/5

Received this message when I did the puzzle this morning (going to work a little late today due to snow)

In celebration of American Crossword Puzzle Week, you have received a Crossword Block!"


I saw elsewhere that first place winner also wins a crossword suit but I'll never get that  :rofl1:

Not sure how long this will run folks! No idea if you can get a block each time you finish a puzzle once you've gotten a block....guessing we'll find that out later today.

I just finished the word scramble SEARCH and got only credits.  So no block there for me.

edit: fixed my oops of forgetting word "search."

OK, confused: you posted that you got the block, then you posted that you finished the scramble and got nothing....and we've been doing the puzzles all week and have not gotten anything like this...did this just start today??

Hey! I only had 1 cup of coffee when I posted  :crazy:  Sorry for the confusion I caused :bighug:

Crosswords (scrambled and regular guessing) give the crossword block

word search gives credits only (i did it just to see if they gave any blocks but they didn't for me)

It does say "week" so perhaps the purple flower lamp will be back after the week is up. Who knows with vfk though  :??:

I've sent 2 Help Reports asking if the Flower Lamp will be back after this week... and of course no response, as usual.  Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr    :uhuh2:

So, if anyone else is lucky enough to be granted an answer from VFK on the question of the Flower Lamp, please post.  Thank you   :hug:

I'm right there with ya, Astro.  I LOVED the flower lamp.  Definitely not long enough a release. >:[

Moral of the story ... maybe so many players trying for the puzzle outfits makes the odds of winning not so terrible!   :laugh2:

I won an extra girls puzzle outfit, and traded it for my darn Flower Lamp that I'm missing.   :dance2:    All is well - Yay!!   :2thunbs:

Still would like to know if the lamp is returning though.   :hmmmm:

LOL.  Congrats and well done on the trade, Astro!  Glad you got one :)

We must find out if the flower lamp will return or not, though.  No doubt!

Wow, new puzzle fun! Astro, you look like a woman with a "checkered" past in that Crossword outfit... :lolg:

I also hope the flower lamp comes back, but I have to say, these crossword cubes are cool. I really like the fact that you can also win cubes and randomly the crossword clothing by completing the word search. Sometimes I find the word search puzzles more relaxing.

I'm upset on the flower lamp, but what to do... never got it. I hope I get two outfits in order to trade for it, but only gotten credits and blocks so far.

So I get this straight, you have to get 1st place to win the outfit?  If so I guess that won't be me since I won't be on at the times most likely when they start plus I'm just awful at crosswords.
