Just an FYI ...

The Menorah can be found in the Western Mercantile under Specials.  It is located AFTER the Western Clothing, but BEFORE the Pizzeria Items. 

Pretty sure it's the same as last year, so I won't be updating our Guides.

Thanks Astro for bringing this to our attention. Flame and I had heard about this.  I think it's a shame that this item is buried in the Western Merchantile!  I know the new shop is a designated "Christmas" shop, buy golly -- to bury the Menorah at WESTERN?  Who would even think to look there?  At the very least they could have put it in the gift shop.

I know, I agree.  I have no idea what the heck VFK is thinking burying it in the Western Shop.  Nobody is going to see it there.   

It would be better suited for the Gift Shop, I agree.  Even better, (since I don't celebrate Hanukkah) would it really be that disrespectful if the Menorah was put in the Christmas Shop, idk?  Just so people don't miss it being sold, that weren't here last year, or don't already have it??  Maybe make a Special Tab for other Holidays or something?  idk there has to be some solution.

I was actually looking for some new magic, and checking shops -- nothing.       Aren't we about due for some?

I do not think it would be disrespectful. As if you go into any department store at christmas the Hanukkah is right alone with it. Well not so close to Santa things more in the decorative holiday stuff.

I also agree that I would not mind the Menorah being in with the other items in the Christmas Shop. However, I do remember a conversation about this last year. There were a few people who felt that they would be offended if the Menorah was mixed in with Christmas Items. I also see Hanukkah items out in the stores mixed in with Christmas items and I think most people would not mind at all.

If I remember correctly, some people actually contacted VFK to let them know it would be offensive to place the Menorah in the Christmas Shop. I think that is why it was in Merlin's last year and The Mercantile this year. Just my opinion here - I think there are not enough items to create a whole new store, yet they want to respect the Jewish members who voiced their opinions last year.

They could had placed it in Autumn Imports. Most players look there first than Western Merchantile.

I would of liked to see it in the Christmas Shop even if I don't celebrate it, but if our Jewish friends do see a problem with it in a "Christmas Shop" then I think the Gift Shop would be great.  They had other holidays there like Easter and Mother's Day so I think it would fit in great there.

I'd have no problem with it in the Christmas Shop (even though I'm not Jewish).  I do have a problem with people thinking VFK should incorporate ALL religious holidays into their game.  lol

I would like to seen more Hanukkah items. I do remember the Hanukkah VMK chairs...would love to see a spinning dreidal.
