Go to each room and say "Trick or Treat!"

Receive candy each time in various quantities.

Receive a 'Skull Candy Bucket' after awhile. Not sure how many! Say 'Trick or Treat' everywhere! Your login room and the maps count, too.

Confirmed: last prize is a Gold Pumpkin. You need to get almost all the candy to get it...and you need to go to Arthurs Round Table and say "Trick or Treat!" to see if you got enough candy to get it. Lovely.

Nope. No mermaid or fairy required. No Splashtastic. Had lots of rooms left to spare, too.

BTW: login room only works if you got out first, then come back in and say it.

I just cleared my cache & cookies and I'm able to get candy again.

ETA: Seemed to fix it just temporarily. Not getting candy now....or maybe I am and it's just lag?

OK...so how do you know you have all the candy? Did you do fairy land, mermaid, etc.? This isn't making sense. Was it long after you got the magic?

ARG!! Had to get off to do real life for a bit. Then decided to try second character for awhile, she kept crashing, so gave up for now to answer door for abit. Now that I know about the pumpkin, cant get back on so Golden can try for her Golden Gourd!!! says "Server shutdown in progress"

edit: Woot! finally got on, and yes I had enough to get it. The gold pumpkin didn't show in the round table room, but when I said Trick or Treat, the popup told me i got it.

I just did it without going to Splashtastic and without doing the Laser Tag lobbies. Did the first 3 mansion rooms. Could have done the Victorian Maze, too I think. Said the words at the Round Table and never see the pumpkin, but it shows in inventory.

Okay on this last character, took me an hour with crashes and a few times answering door.
Candy bucket - had 60 pieces, had done western age, victorian age, the crossroad/garden/loadin room
Radiation Magic - had 115 pieces, had done Australian, medieval, and about 1/2 space (including not game lobbies yet)
Gold pumpkin - had 207 pieces, other main rooms of space, splashtastic, mermaid, fairy, stil not enough so then went back and finished going in and out of all the space game lobbies (each individual game start docks)

At night fighters don't forget the room after the lobby. When you walk into lobby select a ship and in that second room you can collect candy as well.

Thank you for mentioning those as well. I guess they will be more rooms to try towards getting the pumpkin...and then to think I have to do this all over again with my daughter's character.

Okay, I was not here when this trick or treat started. I didn't know I should have been counting the candy.

I have gone through every room (not mermaid, etc), did all the space game lobbies rooms, and I don't even have Radiation Magic. How do I get that, nvm the gold pumpkin at this point? Run all the mermaid, fairy..?

hmmm...this sure is frustrating for all! I thought Trick or Treating was suppose to be fun!

I do think I had done one of each lobby of the games also. Of course now I have to go back through and try and do all of them for this pumpkin. I didn't realize we had to do all. Maybe if you do a few of those, you'll finally get the magic.

I think their system is so overloaded its not telling us when we get the magic.... either that or they want to have us running around like crazy until we have the good sense to check our inventory!

I got the gold pumpkin and the message in the round table room did tell me when it was awarded. I did NOT do the individual game lobbies. I did all of the other rooms including:

Maps
Mansion
Mazes
Outback
English Countryside
Splashtastic
Fairy land
Mermaid land (note you can get candy in the undersea window room from both sides of the glass)

Dont' forget the colonial garden and the crossroads next to it. None of the stores are on the map either so don't forget those. I did reenter my colonial room, fairy room and underwater room to collect candy in those places. Checkers is the only room that did not give me candy.

Total Candy Count: 196

Oh thank you so much for this! What a difference! I dealt with all the lag and shutting off my computer a hundred times with my character. I'm now doing my daughter's character so I hope this will make it go much quicker.

Not sure what happened to my post...but anyway thanks so much for posting this. I spent so much time doing my character and having to shut the computer down many times. I'm doing my daughter's character in this single mode and what a diference. I hope I can get her done faster.

Thank you for posting this Pete. I have to say personally I like this route the best.

Total candy count for me was 187, and I was awarded the Golden Pumpkin. I stayed away from the game lobbies this time around too.

If anyone is still running this today: I dont think that the prizes are pieces of candy dependent: I sent several in game help messages last night during that weird time when we could not use Fairy. Did anyone else besides the Flame have that issue? Had something to do with the time change.

Anyhow, one of the more intelligent responses I got was that I was "for rooms short". They did not say "pieces of candy" but a number of rooms. Sure enough, after Fairy was available again, I went and did 4 rooms exactly --- GOT the Gold.

Ugh, this event was truly truly frustrating.....

I haven't run it more than twice so far, so I haven't experienced that yet. Very interesting find though, Thanks for sharing, because I wasn't aware of the "number of rooms" as opposed to number of candy.

no way it is the number of rooms. Littlebelle had to do way morerooms than Muppet did So maybe it was a bug? Cause Belle did except maybe 3 game entry doors every room in VFK including Mermaid and Fairy. Muppet did much less seems odd?

Even in single player mode the lag is really bad. You have to wait it out. Sooooo slowww. And it seems if I don't wait for the message to finally come up, the room isn't marked at done (and i dont get my piece of bubblegum).

Heads up, Enigma said you can still trick or treat until opening later today/tomorrow.

How to get the Golden Pumpkin: Do all the rooms (no need to go to Splash, Mermaid or Fairy), do all the lobbies in the space games including the main game lobby and also do your own login room. Also do each map and you should have enough for the gold pumpkin. It has worked for me and I even left medieval rooms last and had enough candy before I even finished all the rooms up there. Good Luck!

Well I was doing last second ppl too!!! It was 10:01 am when I went to the Table to say it again! Phew I got the pumpkin!!! Logged on another to try to sneak him in: NO MORE TRICK OR TREATING, IT'S GONE.

While I did not get ALL of my pple done, I am happy I was able to get a good amount done; the lag was so bad during one person yesterday (think it was daughter's character) that it took just about a WHOLE HOUR to get her done....any nevermind what time I went to bed on Saturday night

Now I will have to catch up on my sleep at work, lol

My goal was to get five done and I just made it before going to bed last night. I had worked all month on making a Halloween ride that I wanted to have open on Saturday & Sunday but the lag made it impossible for that. I appreciate VFK trying to make it super fun for us with all these events and items but they also need to be aware of the limitations of the servers. Looks like we have a weeks rest before the new epic quest starts up - so that's good! Thank you to everyone who kept this forum updated with the new releases, spoilers, pictures, etc. - what a whirlwind!

So, now that it's over I leave you with this poem by Shel Silverstein:

And totally agreed with your post.

So Halloween comes to an end (except for the Sunday quests I started but never did, lol). I don't know about anyone else, but being PAST this Halloween is cause for a celebration!
