Yeah!  I'm so excited to start building.  Anyone having any luck with the spider rides?  I'm having a hard time getting them to connect and figuring out "which way is which" with them.

I was thinking the exact same thing, Belle! I saw those Halloween ride pieces and immediately thought of Christmas ride pieces. Getting ahead of myself, I guess.  :lolg: Well, I clearly have a lot to keep busy with on VFK, hmmm sleep is over-rated, right?  :rofl1: :sur:

Wow.  Haven't had a chance to even check them out yet, but thanks for the heads up, Astro!

I heard alot of ppl were having problems putting the ride pieces together tonight.  Not sure if it's because ppl aren't using grid move or not...since I haven't even bought any yet.  Those darn scavenger hunts... :madder:

It does take a bit to figure out the spider web thing. The dot center spot leads in the direction you want the ride to go.

And gourd now has a gourd ride.  :clap1:

Thanks - this helps.  I was using the grid move but couldn't get the pieces to all go in the right direction so that the spider would move. That start piece is still tricky for me to figure out which way it's pointing, lol, but I think I got it now!

Someone on another forum just received a visit from Legend that told him a trick for building the spider rides.  She told him that:

"When you say "Spider On" your spider rides come into construction rides, when you say "Spider Off" it reverses it. "  

This should make them much easier to build with now!  This makes me happy.

Just came to update the Forum on this too, was uploading pictures to make it easier to understand.  Pics below:   I think only the owner can see the arrows though.  ETA:   ANYONE you have on furni perms, for a specific room with spider ride track pieces, will be able to see the arrows too -- when they say "spider on".    Neat stuff!  Makes building soooooo much easier!

"spider off" turns off

I was waiting for -cough-someone-cough- to come out with an Ebook with instructions on how to build with these pieces... :hmm:

Nice they let us know these things when they're released.  Takes all the frustration and quesswork out of building with them... +  :hmm:

I feel sorry for the people who don't belong to any forums & won't know this secret tip and will struggle trying to build with the ride pieces in the 'spider' mode.   

Maybe VFK should start utilizing the "info" button that's part of the pop-up choices when an item is clicked on.

Yeah...and this isn't the only thing to feel sorry for others about.

Am I mistaken...or are there NO instructions BEFORE entering any game in VFK?  Every other online game I can think of has guides/instructions...you know....so people will know how to play!  I can't tell you how many people get to the maze and can't move because they don't know to use the arrow keys!  Shame... :td:

Not sure if someone posted this or not, but they have another tree at Merlins called Halloween Tree - Gnarled for 1500 credits.  I have not got it yet, but if someone else has it can you post a pic here for me and ty in advance.  :waveh:
