Please be advised the prices in the SW Guides are no longer accurate.  
SW did some major re-economizing.  
Approximately 50% of the items are now only available with gold--including most wearables.  

The changes have not been well received...Just read the official forums.

A few minutes ago Mitch (one of the co-founders) posted the following.  It is in the thread linked above.

We have always tried to err on the side of generosity in pricing our items & in providing token earning opportunities. However the current pricing structure wasn't sustainable for us in terms of generating sufficient revenue to pay basic costs. That wasn't going to work for anyone in the long term. Whatever we did to make things more sustainable was going to be temporarily uncomfortable because the fact is we made tokens a little too powerful. We needed to make a slight adjustment.

I think we could have been a little more skillful in introducing some of these changes. Sorry about that guys. I think there is room for some tweaking too to make some things fairer. There is some good suggestions in this thread & in these forums which we will consider. Bear with us please. We'll look at this at the beginning of next week once we get back from the weekend.

The blogs are current with photos added for June.

I have not yet updated the guides. 
I may am trying to think of a way to update them--yet preserve the history.  I may end up editing each image and putting a thin red line through the token price where applicable.  Please bear with me as this will be a time consuming process to check each item in stores--one by one edit and upload and post the images. 

If you have any suggestions on how this can be done differently or more efficiently please let me know.

Happy, I agree with you.  I for one like to take a look back and see the way things used to be.  Your idea of putting a line through things seems like a good fix, although time consuming.  Unless you were to just leave things as is, and then maybe just post a listing of new prices in gold most likely, but refer to "older guide" for specific pictures of items?  idk.

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction with regards to the Token Amnesty and your Guides here.  I used your Guides ... well as a "guide", as far as how many tokens I needed to buy particular items, that are now only sold for gold in Mysterios.

'-' i should have bought one when I wanted, so I guess nothing really changed in the pricing ?

The food and wearables guides are up to date.  If you find any errors (including typos) please let me know.  


A number of the items in Mary's, Garden Life, and Modern Living are now current.  I am going through the guided from top to bottom. Sorry it is taking a while.  It is necessary to go in the stores and check each item one by one.

The following guides are revised and display the June 11, 2009 price changes. Any items that were changed to gold only are clearly marked with a big tag stating "Gold Only As Of June 11, 2009".  I also took the time to tag the retired items in a similar fashion. :

The following guide is not yet revised to reflect the June 11, 2009 price changes:

  Magic Tricks and Spells

I do not expect to find many changes in the Magic Tricks and Spells.  

As far as I know, the Blogs, Monthly Collectibles and Real Estate Guides are all current and were not impacted by the June 11, 2009 repricing.
