Refreshing etc did not help. Any ideas? I can chat freely and move from room to room in to places linked by my backyard---one by one. Fortunately I was on earlier and did the quest---but has anyone had and resolved this issue? No scavenger hunt for me.

Happy, from the screen shot, it almost looks like you're zoomed in. Do you have your screen expanded to something beyond 100%?? Just a wild guess on my part!

No. I just cropped out the top part with my url windows etc--and the rest of the vfk home page info/events that were not applicable.

Are you running Flash 10? If so, maybe that is the problem? That is really strange. We just got home after being gone pretty much all day, so I am just now seeing this. Other than that, I have no idea and haven't seen anyone else with this as of yet.

This hasn't happened to me at all either. Very odd. Your entire toolbar is missing.

Only things I can think of is shutting down and restarting computer, or sending Help Report to VFK?

I was going to suggest the help button too, but there isn't one.

Did you try another character Happy, or is this happening on more than just one? If another character is good, maybe a Help message can be sent from there?

I am totally baffled!

And mentioning it to staff doesn't seem to help either.
This was one of my many attempts in this room a few minutes ago.
I have tried logging out, clearing temp files and all that stuff.

Well let's see, a million new additions in one day and King's gas drifting around here, it is no wonder! Like I said, that was my first thought too.

Just saw your new post Happy. Surfer is back for the summer now. She is one of the seasonal staff they are using during these months with the kids off school, so I'm not surprised she wasn't a big help. This is the first day I have seen her back. Happy, do you want me to send a Help message in game with a link to your initial pic? I can go do that right now.

Well, they will see my notes when they overnight group reviews the chat logs.
Surfer seemed to be in to celebrating the 1 year and greeting friends, using hop and dance.

If you have time please send them a link to my first photo. If not, it is okay.
I find it hard to believe it is just me with the problem.
I am using FireFox and Flash Ver 9.
(I tend to get the hourglass crash in VFK using IE. )

I have to say, I had to giggle a little - thinking of someone who wouldn't know better logging in and seeing that. They would be thinking, this is the new tool bar?

Well I went to exit a room and clicked the lower right corner and the quest manager popped up.
Maybe it is like windows and I somehow hid my toolbar

As for the Scavenger hunt, you do not need the map. Just walk upto the Livery and start the Hunt with the grandfatherclock.

Last night was Surfer's first night back. She is still lost from missing so much, so she possibly could not help, but could had Enigma come. Please, if you also see me again, friend and if need help, I am here.

Oooo Happy, I didn't know that was "No Toolbar Happy" last night!

Hope the problem gets solved for you soon. Have you tried doing a right click over the screen to see if any options come up??

Well, when I right click I see the release of Adobe and a "settings" option. Both are not related to VFK.

I did try IE to get through todays hunt so as not to miss this one. My bug there is no shopping and lots of the hourglass lag. (Which is usually what I see before crashing.)

Guess I will just have to wait it out.

I still cannot get the Action Button to work when using Firefox.
I really do not like using IE it has too many issues for me.

OK Happy, King talked to Vintage tonight about your issue. She said to try updating to Flash 10 and that might fix your problem. She said they have noticed that Flash 10 works better on some machines while Flash 9 on others. Even within their office, they use 10 on some and 9 on others. She said to let her know if that does anything to fix the problem.

Unfortunately, I don't think I will be updating my Flash for VFK though...I'm afraid it my mess up my play in SW. As most of you know that is my main game.

I use Firefox for PH and Flash 10 there. I still use IE with Flash 9 for VFK. Not sure how that happens, but for me it works. Because I can't even log into PH when using IE, because Flash isn't updated there.

That might be a workaround for you too?

Happy, did they get you fixed yet?
Just a thought that if you wanted to start the epic quest, you can do that by click on the Castle Gate. I know you really can't do the whole quest without the map to navigate by, but you could at least get it started (which is always a good idea with vfk quests, though an epic quest will probably stay).

I've been using IE and dealing with the crashes. On the scavenger hunt I crashed once so it wasn't too bad. Having the spoilers helped a lot.

Souper ran in to Vintage. Actually, she came right up to me in the Crossroads. I explained my brower issues to her and she said she would let the developers know about it.

I did tell her that I was not going to change my flash version for just this one application. I really do fear screwing up other programs that wre used more often. Although I did not get in to the pc specs, I did mention that I can not run IE without a crash (usually)during each VFK session.

I think I know why the IE issue frustratesso much. I can run 2 forums, SW game and webkinz game, and email at the same time with out crashing---but can not run just VFK without a crash. And some of you know the resources SW takes on a pc.

Side note: I let her know that souper did get the pin for Memorial Day when she signed in.

Just a mini update. My Firefox screen still looks the same. At times if I click the "sweet spot" I am able to view my inventory, get to the map,view friend list, etc. So the options are there, just invisible.

I'd give a lot to have that darn map option easily accessible. IE is not my friend in VFK.
