Woohoo! Love the looks of these!

Ok, I've got a meeting Tuesday at 7pm; (-pulls out appointment book: but I can ride before 7 and after 8ish -)

They are so good to try to create things that we want. I always loved building rides. I like that the "color difference" is pretty minor so that it won't matter to me what color I have. And thankfully they will also be for sale, not just won during the event, thank you, thank you. !

But....
I dread the lag that these pieces will cause. And the lag the event will cause.  And it can be such a challenge to get items to place correctly in the rooms normally, that I can just image what a task it will be to line these up so the ride works. If only the game just worked better.

Oh My Gooodness! I am sooooo excited about this. So glad there will be not only the ride event, but that the ride pieces will also be for sale! 

Goldengourd, I have been able to perfect the grid building system with a lot of trial and error. I am trying to make a video showing how to easily get items to stack side by side on the grid. Until then, I can tell you that if you press "grid move" then the down arrow before moving an item, you can get items to go side by side. This is for placing objects right next to each other on the floor. Stacking is a bit different. maybe I can try to make a guide while I try to finish the video. Try it with some cheap crates in a room to practice! Hugs.

I'm excited too!     I was never much of a builder, but always loved the Host ride events.  And I'm looking forward to seeing what my talented friends here put together too!

WOOT! princessmadiro and I have been waiting for this. We guessed this might be the surprise!
I'm not looking forward to the lag or trying to get into the host rooms though. Haven't been to a host room event yet so I have no idea how that will work. princess doesn't have much patience either to wait. Oh boy this should be fun!

Oh my goodness!!  I have to say creating rides on VMK was one of my favorite things to do on that site!  Ideas are now popping into my head for VFK.  Plus, I can't wait to see Ormonddude's creations.  Did anybody see the Tower of Terror ride he and some friends created before VMK closed?  It was truly magnificent!!!

Someone said ride pieces host ride will also be free Sat and Sun, but I don't know if it's on front page or not.

I am so happy to see this. I have not played much since christmas nothing really to build with. Just when I get bored with VFK then pop in with an exciting now item. Now I can see myself building alot.

I hope the lag is tolerable because it will be bad. But we should remember all the issues VMK had when they did there first big event. We should not expect any better and if it goes smoothly great !!! I am just gald they have done this

I snagged a few pics from another forum.  Apparently, a few people accidentally entered a host ride room while they were testing. They snappped a pic while in there...



There are also stone blocks to prop the ride pieces with and a few look to be slanted to make hills. I also heard that one of the rooms was like a "dark room" but I have not seen any pics of that. I did clip this pic from someone's avatar who made it into the rooms and you can see the ride vehicles in it with what appears to be a blue background...



It seems each ride car has a butterfly on the front. The butterflies are different colors depending on the color ladybug on your start piece! Getting more excited!!!

This could bring back some sad memories for my princess. Her very first experience with VMK was during the first VMK ride a thon. We had no idea what to do with those pieces at the time. (I know she gave a bunch of them away for her first magic.) She just had a blast riding through the host rooms over and over again. We would search for ride rooms and just ride and ride and ride some days!

Yep, I got a little misty-eyed when I first heard about this--lots of good memories.

Oh the good old days of rushing home to ride around and around and around. Being tied to our computers so we could ride around and around and around.  Wow I must be crazy to want to do this again. But I am so excited can not wait.

I just love the stone work too.

Well I plan on getting Just on to ride and ride So you two can share until Saturday What you do not want to take an early nap And stay up half the night to relive the old VMK memories  Come on you can do it

What that would only be 12:00 midnight  Sorry it is so late for you. Here is to Saturday and may all the lag be fixed by then

Yup it's true.  VFK did update the homepage at some point yesterday, and I had updated the first post here with the Encore information.

I caught a glimpse of those pictures too  -- those butterflies are adorable!!  However, I did notice that the Dark Ride Room snapshot, is now deleted.     So, I'm not sure what happened with that....um leak.   

I will say from the picture I saw, the room looks pretty much like VMK's.  It looked black in color, and had a few machine looking parts for a backdrop.
