Woot! Congrats Fun!   I was hopping on to check on things here and log in to VFK for a bit and saw that the porter event was happening. Thanks for posting Astro!   I was actually able to get myself, King, and both kids through with 2 minutes to spare and we all won the magic!

Not sure if anyone knew this, but while you are waiting in the queue for the host event, if you click on the Host Room and click "Enter Room", it will tell you your place in the queue. I'll try to find a picture as I did not get one myself.

I am really, really happy to see host events in a room again with a queue. This really made it nice since we have not been able to be on as much. Woot!

Interesting!  Thanks for posting about this Princess, I was not aware that you could see Queue Placement?!  How do you do that??

I have to say that I do like VFK's Queue System.  It's nice that it just pops you into the Host room, without having to click something to get there.  And that we can see Queue Placement, that's even better!

The one thing that I do worry about is disconnecting though.  Especially if I'm not paying attention, and lose connection for inactivity.

VFK has not announced Host Events since October (and the Purple Pumpkin).  The Events since then have all been random as far as I'm aware.  I'm not sure why this is either.

  Hugs everybody. I am not sure why the events are not being announced either. I am wondering if during these teleporter events it was because they were just testing the queue system and teleporter game. The description of the room said they were still testing and to be patient as they worked out any issues. Hopefully they can start announcing times soon now that a good system seems to be in place.

So, about finding your place in the queue... Just click on the host room and click the "Enter Room" button. When you do the message I posted above will pop up telling you your place in line.

I also found out something interesting about being disconnected while in the queue. I accidentally closed out of King's screen while we were in the queue. I completely freaked out but logged him back in to try to get in line again. When I clicked the host room enter button, it still had King in line at the same spot. The message said, "You are already in the queue at number 100". I mean I had completely closed out of the browser window and game. I don't know if it will stay like that, but I hope it does.

Must be why I don't have any host prizes, but the Purple Pumpkin.  Sigh, well at least some people got some, but I still think the members are the ones that get most of the host prizes when we had to hunt for the host and people who aren't members just happen to be in the room they popped into when they are looking for a membered filled room.  That is why I am glad they will be bringing the host rooms back with wait lines where everyone can have a chance to get something.

Thanks for all of this helpful information, Princess.  I had no idea.  Unless I wasn't paying attention, I never noticed a queue number when I clicked to get in line.  That's very good to know.

Also, how awesome is that ~ if you dc or accidently close the browser window, and when you log back in, you're still in line, and in the same spot you left at?!  I LOVE that!  I don't need to remind everyone how terrible it used to be in VMK when there were so many issues with that queue system.  I for one always missed my pass turn, or dc'd.

Princess, your explanation for VFK not posting Host games makes perfect sense!

I'm also very happy to learn about disconnects and queue lines.  That was one of my main frustrations with VMK.  Remember waiting and waiting in those looooooooooooooooooooooooooooonnnnngggggggg lines then being visited by the DC Monster just when your turn was about to approach.  How cool is it to learn that VFK seems to have discovered a solution!
