Valentines @ SmalWorlds - Día del Amor y la Amistad!

At a time when the price of roses quadruples, approximately one billion cards get sent worldwide, and sales of soft toys skyrockets,  it can be easy to get caught up in the extreme commercialism of Valentines Day.   Its fun to send a  card or a fluffy heart, but we’d also like to remind you to connect to the underlying sentiment of Valentine’s Day which is in remembrance of St. Valentine and his undying belief in love. 


Valentines is not just a day for lovers - its also a time when we can  express the love and caring we feel for family and friends. We might do well to follow in the footsteps of Guatemala, where Valentine’s Day is known as “Día del Amor y la Amistad” (Day of Love and Friendship). Although it is similar to the westernised version in many ways, it is also common to see people do “acts of appreciation” for their friends. Nice!  Whichever way you choose to embrace and celebrate Valentines, we’re got some great items for you to help with ’sharing the love’ - enjoy!

I was on this morning.  According to the Blog Entry, the Balloons are supposed to hang on the wall, or you can hold them in your hand.  I'm assuming that is what the option of "use" for the Balloon is for. 

However, when I was in the store, the Balloons can no longer be purchased apparently.      Maybe SW ran into problems with the Balloons, and they took the option away to buy them for right now?

I hope we can still buy them at some point, they are really cute.

I wonder if they are working on the bug, where I would lose them when trying to "use" them.  Why let even more buy them and lose them that way.  Easier to stop the sales of them, while they work on it.  (let's hope)

Just logged my clone on to make sure it wasn't just me again.  And I went to check those balloons you showed.  hehe    looks like I missed clicking on some, as did they.        

Biggest Hugs Happy, Thank-you for finding these, with the option to buy.       Yay!  I have some balloons now.             I do LOVE these Balloons ~ great job SW!  They are soooo pretty!!
