Hi!
SmallWorlds offers the capability to create in game chat channels. This is another great feature open to ALL members, not just VIPs.   Essentially players can create a chat channel, share channel name and password,  and IM in game.  The chat channel conversations display in the same window as the normal chat history-just in a different color.  If you are in a busy space it can be confusing to keep up with multiple conversations.  However, it can be very useful if you are looking for help or get stuck on a mission. 

I subscribe to a few chat channels.  Quite often they are off.  So, I have 2 questions:

1.  Would anyone like me to create a chat channel for vmknobs?    If I did we could circulate the passward via pm's  so only our forum members could have it. 

2. A friend just created a chat channel for mulitplayer games.  It is a channel where you can find other people that are looking to play games such as Chinese Checkers and Checkers.  I am sure Quick Draw will also fall in to this category once it is released.  I have permission to share the channel info with friends. If you would like the info on how to subscribe to the channel for multi player games, please send me a pm here.  (Okay, so this is not a question.)

Yup count me in too. It is your fault I am back at SW telling me about those lovely christmas decorations. But I am so glad to  be back. Now to work on a mission. Waiting till I get back from WDW and have more pics of beauty and the beast show. Shoudl be fun run vidoe camera and taking pics at the same time

Yes.  We can all be in the same or different rooms.  The chat channel text shows i na different color.  I'll try to set it up this weekend.

Hi Happy! Princess Madiro is on SW too. She mainly stays in her room or goes out on missions or shopping sprees. When she is on SW, I am always
right there by her side watching every move anyone makes around her. Most of her friends from VMK started to play it but are now never on. The channels are really nice to have especially just to say hi or chat without having to leave your room. Princess likes to play checkers and pool and can't wait for the pictionary type game. I won't let her play with just anyone and she is always hoping someone will be on that she knows to play with her.
So, if the multiplayer channel peeps are nice people please PM me the name of the channel and code or we can just wait till the VMKnobs channel
is up. THANKS so much!

The channel is set up.  I started to send out the pm's. 
The pm does include some basic set up tips, including how to temporarily turn it off.
