New Grid System and Stacking!!!
« on: August 23, 2008, 06:42 PM »

Well, after several days of not being on VFK, (I have had a terrible summer cold) there is something new! The rooms are now equipped with a grid system!  :wavet: You can tell the difference when you move furniture around - instead of being able to place it anywhere, it moves within the grid, similar to what we used on VMK. Furniture is now also stackable!  :yes!: I did not have time to experiment a lot with this, but did try a few things out and got a few pics. I think there are still a few bugs with stacking, and items actually "drop" into place when stacking them. I can't really explain it - you have to see it to understand how it works. It looks like most things are stackable. Like I said, I did not have a lot of time to check it all out. I am sure the bugs will get worked out, as some items float above where you try to stack them. However, having a grid system and stacking of furniture is a good sign. Happy Saturday!  :waveh:

Stacking some items in a few rooms...

This is another player's room. But I had to get a shot of all of these stacked dice!!!

Thanks Rosie!  More annoying than anything.

Just a note of help as they keep perfecting the stacking system...if you are having trouble getting an item to stack where you want it, use the up and down arrow keys. This did work for me a few times. Some objects I still can't seem to stack without a huge space in between. But, I do hope that they keep everything stackable - kinda cool.  :dle:
