Trading is Down

Hi!
As many of you know gifting has been down for a while.  Many have used the trading feature to move items to get around the gifting problem.  This morning when trying to start a trade to a friend,  I learned trading is shut off.   :rofl1:  Just now I noticed the official announcement with regard to the trading issue. 


Hi, everyone,

We recently ran across a glitch where, during person-to-person trades, the number of fish (from the Fishing minigame) in a trader's inventory ballooned to biblical proportions, leaving them with millions of glitched fish.

While we sort out this (f)issue, we've disabled all person-to-person trades on the site (the marketplace is still open, though). Fixing this up is our top priority right now.

If you unexpectedly wound up with millions of fish in your inventory, we recommend that you just sit tight and don't touch. Please don't attempt to sell your ill-gotten fish on the marketplace or anything, because that would count as exploiting a glitch and the consequences would be unpleasant.

We'd like to apologize to everyone who had their trades fouled up by this glitch, and to all the people who are currently burdened with way more fish than they know what to do with. We should have this fixed up soon.

This may explain why I was able to purchase some blue bass pretty cheap each last night.

What are they doing to us...sheeesh! I'm suffering from gifting withdrawal!  :sos:

ROFL! They happened to cut off trading just as Green Monkey was going to turn green. Grrrr!  >:(

They have to turn trading back on soon...everyone must be upset about it being down.  :gavel:

Trading is now back up again today. I believe gifting is still down though.
