I have not received any email from them yet either.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed for this game as well. Keep in mind Kasiks perhaps it being still beta gives it the porcelain doll look/character walk you don't care for.  Maybe in time it will be improved in some of those areas.  I was pleased with the previews of the lands there though :)
