Oven Roasted Asparagus (hubby cooks this on grill too)

1 pound or about 20 medium to thick spears of asparagus - supposed to feed 4 it says:

Wash and trim off bottom ends of asparagus (usually all the white part)

Place in roasting pan 8 1/2 x 11 (single layer preferably, not too crowded)

Drizzle One (1) Tablespoon of Olive Oil over asparagus
Sprinkle with Salt and Pepper to your liking

Stir asparagus to coat with oil and salt/pepper -- then spread evenly in pan.

Bake in oven 400 degrees for about 25 minutes -- stir/turn about halfway through cooktime.
Stick with fork to see if desired tenderness is done and cook longer if desired.
(If your asparagus is skinny, cook in less time)

When almost done, (or after finished cooking if you want) sprinkle with grated parm/romano cheese (fresh is probably better but I also use the Kraft or other brand cheese in that shaker can)  And hubby has cooked this in pan on the grill too.

mmmmmm... I love asparagus!  I live in one of the prime growing areas of it, and this is it's "time" here!
