VMK is DOWN do not log out if you are in game

Yea, that was my dumbo move of the day.

I was logged in, and moving around fine.  I noticed I only had 2 friends on, which I thought was very odd for a Saturday.  Usually list is full with people on.

Got bored and logged off.

Well, yup you guessed it, then I couldn't get back in!    :madder:

Thanks for posting, if there happens to be anyone reading, that is still in the game.   :)

Yup, after Fin's quest closed I wanted to restart because the upgrades now knock my sound out every day and it left someones name on my screen even when I changed rooms.  While restarting I went to eat and when I came back that is when I found out VMK is down.  I wonder, if they are making changes in the game, then why are others still allowed to stay in VMK?  I didn't get a chance to do the quest yet either and here I was planning on playing something else (Sims) after the quest is over, but I guess I have to wait in see if quest will still be up or not.  :(

Maybe they are adding the new throne chairs to the Emporium?  LOL, yeah right.  ;)

Is it me or does it seem that more problems have arose in VMK ever since Yavn left?

Well I do have to agree there are a lot of problems lately.  The lag in all the mini games is terrible.  Almost to the point of really not being able to play.  For me anyway.  I can't tell you the last time I played fireworks.  Makes it really difficult to get credits that's for sure, any way you look at it.

Vmk being down for maintenance has been happening a lot.  You can pretty much guarantee that vmk will be down on the weekend at some point, no matter what.  Whether it happens to be for a short time or a long time, it's been varied. 

Not sure why this is all happening, if it could have anything to do with Yavn, I don't know?  Good question.

On a positive note though, vmk has really come out with some beautiful royal furniture, costumes and pins that's for sure.  I do love the new pin set!   :2thunbs:

If they are doing maintenance, why would they do it when a VMK host quest is scheduled to happen???

As for fireworks, a friend told me you have to download all of your inventory of furniture, clothes, pins & posters first.  Then do the same thing with the stores.  I'll usually go to Emporium, click on the register, check all the pages of specials, then check the rest of furniture in all the other stores.  I will follow up by going to the other stores (Ned's, Mercantile and Small World) to download their special items.  Be sure at Small World, you check on the Alice furniture pages besides the rides.  I haven't had to go to Inner Space.

After all of that, I've been able to play Fireworks without crashing after level one most of the time.

Hopefully, VMK will be working correctly again soon and all of the above will be unnecessary!

getting the vmk is down message now instead of the loading then dc message so that may be a good sign.

I wonder if it is just VMK.  I was having problems with the Dead Man's Chest and Narnia Games earlier.  Usually when they are acting up and VMK is acting up, it is a sign of the entire Disney web sites.  Just a thought.  (And that one hurt :idea:)

Just seems lately they close during quest or host times.  Coincidence, maybe?  Which is a real bummer ...

Thanks for the fireworks advice.  I have tried all of that to increase my chances of not crashing in fireworks.  Sadly, it hasn't worked for me.  Sometimes I do manage to not crash, but that is rare, maybe one game here and there.  And I'm not sure what the difference is, when I've done everything the same as above.  ^^

All mini games have been a real problem lately.  I hope they are working on some fixes though for sure.

Well, I may have been right here.  Looks like the games are back up and running.  Lets see what happens today.

 :groan: thank you VMK for totally ruining my night 8 hours down  :wtf?: well at least I got some sleep got up at midnight to find it back up logged in played a few games of capture with friends and then chased a purple duck down the river ;) don't even think she knew she was being stalked!  :rofl1:

ROFL!  Krazy_Kim left me a PM here saying the same thing!  That she was chasing me down on the river, but kept missing me, then VMK closed for the night.

Now why/what on earth, did I do to deserve two of you chasing me?  I suppose that also begs the question about why neither of you PM'd me in game to have me hold up to let you catch up!  ROFL!
