So they aren't taking away the leader program?
« on: October 24, 2007, 08:32 AM »

so signing on today was a bit of a shocker to me that everyone was still a leader...

In the newsletter, it does say on the 24th leaders would be gone, but maybe they really mean after the 24th there will be no more leaders?

why do they have to drag this out? I  can't stand the  "did you know your losing your leadership soon?" anymore... If I didn't and didn't read the newsletter, I don't think I would be a leader in the first place...

OT but :bj: <- this jack is very cute ^-^

Here is a thought Patchy. If I were you I would title my rooms with the CL_ title (like CL_Patchy space race) while you can. That way, you will never lose it, so to speak. I have one room that I put my original vmk name in the title before they made me change it and that name is still in the title of my room. I cherish that room and will never change the name of it. Just a thought.

Hi,

can't do that anymore. VMK made it so you can't put your title in any room names anymore.

When I logged on today and saw my CL friends without a name change I figured it would be the next day, but this is VMK, when do they do things on a schedule?  I mean look at the SITS (Sword in the Stone) pins.  Have they even changed it again or is it still the same pin?

ok spot the difference, besides that the ghost are at a different height and there's writing at the bottom of the picture (no worries it's not one of those monster-popping-out-at-you pictures, or is it?) ;)

It was sad to sign on today and see my badge gone.  It's weird not having it there anymore!  We didn't even get a thank you message or anything, which I think would have been a nice thing for them to do considering the job we've done for so long :rant2:

That's the real sad part in all of this.  They don't care!  No wonder VMK is a ghost town anymore :uhuh2:

It is sad. They are disney, they have a reputation of caring for their guests, but I guess not in the online world. Since many of the leaders were loyal fans since beta, and pretty much kept vmk going.

I sent hate mail out this am  :notme:

Quote
With the loss of my Community Leader title today,I feel I have the right to vent on deaf ears. The injustice you are doing by ripping away something earned without just cause is no better than scamming.
VMK has gone down hill so quickly I breaks my heart. Failure on behalf of the VMK team is what is driving your players away. There were so many different ways to go about making the leader program better, how about actually paying attention to what certain leaders were doing. No that would actually mean putting some effort into it.
I was so proud to be a member of that team and considered it an honor and a job I took seriously. Even though that same team had discriminated against me based of forced name changes of some and not of others. (Yes, I have had numerous conversation with staff concerning this and still all the issues are not corrected)
I now have a lack of faith in this team and VMK did it, not the players but the staff who have the power and yet do nothing about it.
As more and more leave for Second Life and POTCO dont be surprised, none of us will, to find yourselves also out of jobs.

:grouphug3:  Hugs for all the community leaders who lost their pins and titles. :grouphug3:

I don't think it's fair the way VMK treated you at the end.  And I agree, with all of the hard work and time you put into VMK they should have had a special VMK item that they gave to the retiring community leaders.
