VFK History of the Indianapolis 500 Quest 2016!
7:00 A.M. Pacific Time Sunday, May 29th, 2016 to 10:00 P.M. Pacific Time Monday, May 30th, 2016.

Today, in 1911, Ray Harroun drove his "Marmon Wasp" to victory in the inaugural Indianapolis 500! What began as the vision of Carl Fisher, an Indiana automobile dealer, to create a private auto testing facility in 1906, grew to be the "Greatest Spectacle in Racing"! This race is one of the three most important motorsport contests in the world. The race has been held on Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend since 1974. On today's quest, let's look at the history of the famous speedway, and today's 100th running of the Indianapolis 500 motor race!
