Today is Chinese New Year! The New Year celebration is the most important festival in China. Also known as the Spring Festival and the Lunar New Year, the celebration begins today and continues for fifteen days, concluding with the Lantern Festival. The Chinese calendar contains cycles of 12 years represented by animals and referred to as the Chinese Zodiac. 2014 is the year of the horse! Some of the qualities expected in people born in the year of the horse are that they will be popular, cheerful, good with finances, and perceptive. On today's quest we will look at Chinese New Year and the beginning of the year of the Horse!
