Title: 6/21 Sand Dollars Begin

from the front page:

Sand Dollars!

Sand Dollars are now being awarded in the games!

When a game is completed and the score is greater than 500, a Sand Dollar is received!

When playing Checkers, a Sand Dollar will be awarded for games which complete without a resignation or a draw.

The Sand Dollars can be used to purchase items under the Sand Dollars section in Splashtastic!

The Sand Dollars will be washed back into the sea at the end of Summer, as will the Sand Dollars section in Splashtastic.

It's time to get your pail and shovel and start collecting Sand Dollars!

Make sure to check the Sand Dollars section of Splashtastic, as we will be adding more items all during the summer season!

Let the summer fun begin!

( played checkers and only the winning peep got a sand dollar - the last time both winner and loser got an Ice Coin)

EDIT:  I sent a message thru Help Button about my losing peep not getting sand dollars - VFK awarded them to her.  So I am thinking, win or lose, checkers completing earns Sand Dollars.

Same as before with Ice Coins, I think it worked well if we all keep all the releases of Sand Dollar items in the same thread - so we don't lose any info.  Thanks  :)

Thanks for the updates ladies!  Should be interesting.  I am a little discouraged that you only earn ONE dollar a time playing the mini-games...but I guess I will just do like last time and keep playing the same peep over and over again -- that way we both earn a dollar.

Hoping the micro quests come out soon and that they payout is a little higher.  I am hoping they make a Sand Dollars tradeable though, so if I run a batch of peeps through a micro-quests, I can use their Dollars on .it.

Did not see Sand Dollars as tradeable...same as the Ice Coins were not. :(

Thanks for the update! So are the dollars tradeable? I've been playing checkers for a long time now lol! I've got 100 checkers right now but this is so I can help everyone that doesn't want to play for hours and hours to get the prizes.   :waveh:

I see 3 new items for Sand Dollars.... 84 sand dollars for the snake in the tree. but someone did say it is animated and you can sit on it's head / tail. lowers itself from the tree or something.


Haven't seen the snake tree yet. But someone said that when you sit on the loop hanging down...the snake's head lowers down near you.

FYI:

According to Enigma on the Map tonight:    Sand Dollars/Items disappear at Game opening on Saturday - 9/24.  So they will be available for all day/night tomorrow, Friday  9/23.
