Isn't this considered "after hours" for VFK?
I figured they wouldn't have these events after their "closed hours"

LOL.  I was heading to bed when Hero said he just got a popup saying there was a turkey wrangle.  I gave him a 'ha ha, very funny', but he was serious.  :sos:  An odd time for an event....to say the very least!  Didn't get to sleep till after 3am.  So today I'm  :yawn:

Yes.  There was a pop up screen when VFK was closing saying that they were closing for their daily maintenance, but that it would open again in 15 minutes.
