There is a new prize for the crossword puzzle! It is a victorian lamp - purple! Looks just like the first one, only purple; gives off a purple light too! On my spin is still said "bankers lamp" so this is really really new. Hopefull I can get Flame to post a picture of it later on today.

Not real thrilled with this new prize. Seems to me it would only look good on Halloween. I can't imagine purposely putting one of these out as a regular room decoration. Personal taste.
What WOULD look cool for a Halloween lamp would be one of those picture projectors like you see on the outside of peoples houses. The flood lamp is on the ground and it beams the stencil pattern (which is placed on the lamp) onto whatever wall it is pointed at. Could be used year round for any holiday (indoors or out). Just allow the player to buy new 'stencils' (ghosts for halloween, Santa for Christmas, etc.) That would be kewl. ;)
LOL. I put my name over the pics just to see where on the 'net they 'travel to' ;)

Ah did you just say what I read you just did. I think you are going to ruffle some purple feathers. Especially the phrase bolded and in purple. I would suggest you find a safe hiding place in VFK for a while while the feathers that I am sure flying calm down ROFL

Hmm, someone is not into purple huh? I would LOVE to be having those and to use them everywhere.
I have been playing the two mixed word crossword puzzles every day. With one clone that means four times a day. I only, last Saturday, finally won a banker's lamp on the wheel. I have nothing else to show for all these times I have been playing.
To me, the bankers lamp is something I would not use.. can't even think of a big enough table to hold it with a few other things. Personal taste. (I enjoy the crosswords, and I will be trying ever so hard to make that wheel stop in time for a purple lamp!)

I am reading between the lines :idea: If I had a purple lamp that I was not keen on having and you had a bankers lamp just collecting dust I would sure trade with you. Unfortunately I have neither.

I can't believe it but I just spun and won the lamp! Hmmm....Flame, I think the purple lamp looks really nice next to our pretty pink couches! Hehe - a lamp for all seasons....

Now we see what happens when Flame 'multi-tasks'....it ends up more like 'multi-trashs'. :doh: LOL.
I forgot that there are important colors on this board: PINK and PURPLE.
I could blame it on a bad nights sleep...being awoken by FedEx early this morning (for a shipment of coffee, of all things)...posting on another board at the same time...responding to a PM while doing both of those things...but I won't. Or did I just do that? :notme: :laugh2:
Sorry Duck.i! I do like purple (not fond of the color pink...sorry to whoever that color belongs to)...just not as permanent decoration in a regular room. I also was not fond of the bankers lamp (same reason...where to put it?). I felt the victorian lamp was WAY more practical. I guess what I meant to say was that some people will probably not want a permanent purple lamp fixture in their regular/everyday rooms. This new prize seems more geared towards Halloween.
No offense meant to any person or color.
Now I'm off to see which of the other things I was doing while posting here I messed up, too. :waveb:

Flame I knew you meant nothing by your post I too am not a purple lover. It is one of my least favorite colors. BUT because I have a friend who adores the color I accept in on my color spectrum :) Meaning I know duck loves purple so much every time I see the color purple I think of her. No Lie I do :) so I guess my brain is more intuned to that color. Seems strange that is the only color I have that reaction to. I guess because I like most colors except orange. But then I met a lot of friends because of that color.
So the moto of this story is color makes the world go round :)

Purple bankers lamp? I'd think that would look too funky with the lamp having the green shade. Then again, what do I know? A table lamp would be nice.

Aww, thanks dream! I had four spins to do today, but no winner. I just hope they keep the purple lamp long enough so I can get one. (or two.. or a hundred?) :lolp:
