Post by: Astro on August 02, 2009, 07:41 AM
There is a new July/August Member Gift to choose in the Western Age/Mercantile Shop.  It's hanging on the wall behind Sir.  2 choices below:    ** Space Rodeo Solitaire **

Yes!  Pretty cool technology on VFK's part!

You can play alone, or give furni perms and have friends/other players play along.

I added another pic to the first post, showing what the game looks like.  You click on the silver pole, to Deal, rotate  the playing table, or to move the playing table.  Or, to store in inventory.

Gold (GoldenGourd) and I played simultaneously on the solitaire game. We found out that even if we both play together, each person sees a different game! Very interesting.

Best room I find to play this game is the Dark Room. Not much distraction background of items and colors.

Whoa....thanks again Astro!

Still trying to get a grasp on the rules for this Solitaire, but it absolutely ROCKS!

Now there's no reason for any member to say "I'm bored...".  LOL.

Pix is correct.   If you win the game, you get 20 credits.

Be aware that these are 2 different solitaire games.  One is your standard solitaire, while the other is MUCH more difficult than regular solitaire (which explains why Flame couldn't understand why it wasn't working right...doh).  Haven't won that game, yet....but I hope the payout for that is ALOT higher since it's a much more difficult game than standard solitaire.  Just an FYI ;)

Nope, same amount. 20 credits. Sure wish I had taken my time before chosing a deck. Find it harder to see, more difficult to win, wish I had gotten the standard classic deck.

Thanks for posting a picture of the house of cards you see when you win, golden.

I had a little trouble with my eyes just playing the classic solitaire deck. I changed my screen to 150% and found I could see the cards much better. Maybe that might help someone else. I'm guessing it is time to go get my eyes checked.  :lolg:

I'm having problems dragging the cards over. They will not stay! And yes, they are the correct cards that need to move to the space. I sent report, no reply, lol.... :drunk:

Yes, I have trouble with that too. You have to line them up just right.

Wendy had a great idea.  Zoom your browser in a little to see the cards better.  I had problems myself with the colored deck (the one with the '13' card).

For IE 7, go to the lower right of your browser and click the down arrow button next to the magnifying glass and '100%'.  Select how much you want to zoom.  '100%' is normal size, btw.

For Firefox, go to the menu at the top of the browser, click 'view', then go to 'zoom' to zoom in or out.  Each time you choose to 'zoom in' or 'zoom out' will increase or decrease the amount of zoom.  Choosing 'reset' there will restore your browser to its normal view.  Alternatively, you can hold down the 'ctrl' key and push the '+' key to zoom in (each time you push the '+' key will zoom you in farther), and push the '-' key while holding down the 'crtl' key to zoom out.  'ctrl' and the '0' key will reset the browser to normal view.

I had some problems with the cards staying, too.  I found if I took my time and made sure to click on the card that I wanted to stack on, it was rarely a problem.  For those that don't know, if you have all the cards used in the deck and have won the game and need to move them to their appropriate boxes at the top for the game to declare you a winner and have the house of cards appear, you can just double click the cards and they will go by themselves (instead of clicking and dragging them).  Use this technique whenever you want to move a card to the top boxes.

Gold:  still 20 credits for the harder game?  Sheesh...I'll stick to the standard one, then.  Easier to see, easier to play.  Thx for letting us know that the credits are the same for each game.

Flamanar...sees cards everywhere... :waveb:
