I just learned today's (Saturday, 5/23/09) Scavenger Hunt starts in the Victorian Park - look for a green crate. The prize is a Gold Plush Cat and 1000 credits!
EDIT: Adding picture of the prize Gold Cat. Just a note, VFK originally released the first version of this Gold Cat below, which was a non-textured Cat. Everyone's inventory then changed with the newer version of the Cat, which is a textured, plush Cat. Players only received 1 Cat, the actual item in inventory just changed looks.

Thank you very much for posting Disco. I have been watching for someone to identify a start.
Anyone know if the scavenger hunts start at opening each day? Or are they running a delayed start with it running into the next day?

I read -cough- elsewhere -cough- :lolg: that they start in the afternoon, PD!
BTW, this hunt is a little more difficult. You're looking for different color crates. Here are the clues I struggled a bit with:
The area with 8 feet is outside of Mercantile (2 horses);
The Australian Outback to go to is Number IV (look towards bottom right - the crate is reallly small!);
The King is not in King Arthur's Round Table.

You and I had opposite difficult clues then, Disco. Those honestly were the easier ones for me, I got hung up the longest on "listen and stand, because the music is grand". I tried the "grand" ballroom, "grand" hotel, and a few other places before I gave in and asked a room of players. Thankfully they steered me to the Opera house, which makes me still not understand the clue! LOL
The electricity one had me for a while, but I finally got to outside Merlins shop.

There is a crate to click on, up near the grass and cave/water entrance (probably almost mid screen). Hope it helps! (Cheeze is looking for when you start your family night on Wizard, hehe.)

Ok this savenger hunt is wack. I have yet to finish it because mr. smith or miss clara are not giving right directions can not tell who is getting the quest quit for now. To much thinking while playing wizards with family.
PS I told cheeze I can not see him right now. We only play Saturday night as a family. They will get annoyed with me. Sorry.

No problem whatsoever, he understands. (He told me he realized he had a technical problem which led him to believe you were getting on.)

OK, we are so NOT cat people here, but this gold cat is kind of cool looking - has an Egyptian statue feel to it almost. :dle:
Hugs Belle, sorry you had some trouble with the Hunt. I find myself being very careful of my timing when asking ma'am, sir, or Ned for my next step. They are giving many hints close together and the chat moves quickly. I try to time it and then look quick for the clue right after my statement. What makes it even harder is that they are still asking us about checking our accounts. :lolg: Play Wizards with the family, the Scavenger Hunt will be there later when VFK isn't so busy. :bighug:

Look in the round table room Paws, there is a crate over on the right side of the screen. I think it is brown, so it blends in.
I was stuck yesterday for the longest time on the blacksmith room clue. :doh:

The cat does not look like a plush cat, but a gold egyption statue! :)
The gold kitty has been changed and is not smooth anymore. It now has a texture to him to make him look plush. Just thought you might want to check it out. :)

awwww, I liked the egyptian statue. And it was creepy enough when it didn't look like my little pet plush cat, now it will look like someone bronzed my dead plushie. I'll have to check it out, once I can get back in game.

I must say I liked the challenge of this quest. But they need to look at how it choices tasks ramdomly Where I got stuck the first time was I had three talk to NPC's in a row. And if you do not put in exactly what was to be asked you got all messed up.
Trying to figure out what is my clue even when trying to time it was difficult.

I too liked the old version of the Gold Cat. Oh well. :(
I updated the first post with the "newer" version of the Cat. We'll keep the old picture up there for historical purpose though. ;)
