Title: 5/18 Scavenger Hunt
Post by: Astro on May 18, 2009, 06:02 PM
I stumbled upon Vintage, and there is a Scavenger Hunt for us to do!  Prize is 1,000 credits.

I believe I started at the Tank, outside the Opera House.  Click on the Sea Monster Topiary.

Good Luck!   ;)

Thank You VFK for giving us something to do!!  It's been like weeks since a Host or other kind of Event!    :dance3:

Thanks for posting this!

It is over now though.  I just got my clone out, and at the beginning sea monster, we were told to ask Mr. Smith where to next. (What a jump!)  I got to Mr. Smith and he told me one place, while answering others with different places.  I tried to go to any of them but it was clear the hunt was over.

So glad I got Duck through though, it was fun!  :thumb:

For a minute there I thought I broke it...no mine cart in front of the hotel... :-X

BTW it is working again.  I just finished the weekend quest.  Mr. Smith was spitting out all the locations.  I went by the hotel and the mine cart is in the road again.

Yes, just a bump for this post...

It's working again, I just sent a clone through and everything is fine.  So if items were not there for you previously, try refreshing and try again.

Mine did stop, but you are correct, it is working again - just taking a different route through the items.  Thanks for posting it was working again!  :thumb:

Interesting how they built it, the items come in a different (I assume random) order for each character. The item does not show in the room untill it is the one next on your list. Only item shows to everyone is the start sea monster topiary. The items do continue to show after you have 'found' them, even once you have completed hunt. It is cool that Mr. Smith says the where you go next, but if several ppl ask at the same time, it might be difficult to guess which answer was for you, lol. Easier for me that I did it this morning when not as many ppl doing hunt.

But seriously, couldn't they let people know it is going on? Only way to know about this is word of mouth, it is not posted anywhere on site, no alerts, no staff announcements. Thank goodness for Nobs!

Go to the underwater room under the Opera House. (Go to Opera House and then go down the steps).  When in there click on the sea monster Topiary to start the mission.  :)
Hope this helps!  :)

How cool is this? We try to do the quests as a family, but the kids don't always enjoy them as much. They absolutely LOVED doing this scavenger hunt! So did the grown ups here!  :dance2: Very creative and fun - one of those somewhat mindless relaxing types of things to do in game. I also noticed golden, that the items do not appear unless you have gotten to them in your hunt. Lots of fun and an easy 1,000 credits! Maybe they will do more of these for prizes as well. Thumbs up from our house!  :thumb: :2thunbs:

Funny you should mention the joy of the scavenger hunt, Princess.  I felt the same as you and your family.  Happened to see Vintage and Thunder earlier today and I commented to them how much I enjoyed because the hunt was relaxing and fun!  Of course I didn't say mindless  ;) (because I didn't know how they would react), but sometimes mindless fun is quite nice!   :thumb:
