Not sure if I saw this posted anywhere yet. Has anyone heard clock chimes while wandering around the kingdom? The chimes sound at quarter past the hour, half past the hour, quarter 'til the hour and on the hour are longer chimes. This message popped up late in game on March 20th but the chimes are still sounding. Not sure if they are testing this out for a while or if it will become permanent. Just wanted to let everyone know!

Yup, I hear them all the time, but what is funny is that 12 AM it only chimed 11 times and not 12. I was going to try to see if it chimed 12 at 1, but haven't had the time to get on then. Anyone else notice that it is an hour behind?

Hi Kim! I talked to Gail about it, and she said that the Big Ben clock is set to Central time. So it will be off in time zones outside of Central. She said the reason they did it was so that VFK would close at midnight according to the chime.
I've found that it rarely rings for me now at all. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. It DOES always ring at midnight (Central time) when the game closes for me.
I'd personally rather have the clock chime according to the time zone of the player (the ghost clocks are set to your time zone, btw). However, the hosts have been having 'closing parties' at about 15 minutes before closing in the garden and on the map, and when the bell starts ringing midnight, they count down with everyone till the game kicks everyone off. With the chimes being set according to everyones different timezone, the count down would be a mess. lol.

Idk that Flame, thank you for the info. I was also wondering why it couldn't be set for our time zones, but the info does make sense when they want everyone to count it down together. Could this be a prelude to New Year's? Maybe everyone will count down the chimes together for a New Year's Party or something? Ok sorry, thinking out loud again, but I do like the clock and I hope it stays in the game forever. :)
