VFK History of Rockets Quest!

7:00 AM Pacific Time Sunday, March 1, 2009 to 10:00 PM Pacific Time Monday, March 2, 2009.

 
Rockets, which are the means of propelling man into space, find their origins back in ancient times. The rockets of today are the product of thousands of years of accumulated technological discoveries and advancements from many different cultures. In addition, the theory behind the rocket engine is based on Newton's Laws of Motion. On today's quest, we will explore the history of rockets from the first primitive steam propelled "rockets" to today's scientific wonders.

Your reward for completing this quest will be 1,000 credits, and a Retro Rocket!

Okay this little rocket is so cool! 

You rotate it, and it actually shakes, and takes off in flight up and off your screen.  Rotate it again, to shoot off rocket again.   :thumbs:

Thanks for the pics Astro.  I wasn't feeling very well and didn't do the quest, but thought I would show everyone what the quest was about.  Its so nice to see that even when people are not well there are others that can help post quest answers.  Thanks everyone!  :clapping:  :thumb:  :clapping:

Astro, thanks for letting us know about the rocket.  It's so cool!  For some reason, it reminds me of the old rocket that used to be in Disneyland's Tomorrowland (and with that I'm showing how old I am!   :laugh2:), if it actually took off and flew!!  What was that attraction called???  Was it Mission To Mars??
