Well, I missed this Host Hunt too. Not sure if this hat is only available from the Host until Valentine's Day, or for the entire Month? But, anyway apparently there was a Host Hunt today. Normal, and Reverse with Trivia. Not sure of when exactly either, or for how long.

Is there any rhyme or reason to these host hunts? I literally sit afk for hours everyday waiting for one (soooo wanted that winter beanie) and nothing...
I did catch today's, but guess I was always in the wrong room :)

No rhyme or reason that I know of. VFK has not posted event times at all since October. It's hit or miss.
Personally, if I had to choose between the old way of the Host Hunt to the Reverse... I pick old Host Hunt - Public Rooms. At least it was more fair. With the Reverse Host Hunt, your stuck only being able to go to Private Guest Rooms from the Most Popular Room List. With that, I know last month, room owners were getting "boot happy", by booting any players that entered a Guest Room that was over like 8 or so players.
I heard that they now have changed the Reverse Host Hunt, to where they do still visit only Private Guest Rooms, but Trivia is asked in those rooms, for winners of the Host prize. That helps a little bit. But, in my opinion it sounds like it takes entirely too long. Old way was faster, and more fair in my opinion - therefore getting more of these elusive host prizes out in the market.
