VFK Watermelon Quest 2016!

It is finally summer! What better way to stay cool on hot summer days than to eat watermelon? You can even use the seeds for entertainment! At least, that is what watermelon festivals all over the country do with watermelon seeds. Seed spitting contests are one of the high points of summer festivals in many places, but on the last weekend in June, the place to be is in Luling, Texas, where they hold the world record for the longest distance for watermelon seed spitting! So put on a comfortable pair of shoes, and prepare to take a tour of the most famous Watermelon festival in the country!
