Title: VFK Server Upgrade - Yay :)
Post by: PrincessWendyBird on August 24, 2009, 01:48 AM
There was an announcement on the VFK homepage for a while after closing tonight:

Server Upgrade

We are upgrading servers, so single user mode will not be available for the next half hour.

King and I were wondering if the free party favors during the dances with hunts and quests also happening might have been a server test. It is easy to forget sometimes that we are really still testing the game and VFK has not gone gold yet. Apparently, servers were added during this upgrade. There have been new players joining and some returning from last summer, so there are more active players in general. From speaking with VFK, we know they take "clones" into account during any game or event. My guess is they knew most players would be getting on for the free party favor and most likely bringing mules through also.

Feeling very hopeful about this type of upgrade.  :thumb:

Jumps up and down that was my question

I am having really serious issues getting on. Last night could not get on Red's now still having issues. No worries Red I will share what I did manage to get on. They screen will not load at start and then if it does it does not load to find the friends grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. What are they testing now?

Played long enough to know when prizes are easy to get they are always testing something :)

Yay!!  Thanks for sharing Princess.

I missed that announcement, and now I wonder why they just don't leave it up on the Homepage?   :??:   This is good news, even if the servers are no longer "unavailable".

Anyway, I hope for the best... as I know for me, out of all the days, Saturday was awful.  Sunday was better, laggy but at least I could connect.  WAY better than staring at a white screen or a loading screen that goes no where.
