Princessmadiro and I saw this awhile ago and we both cried watching it! :cry:
It looks so cute and has that feel of being right at the park in your own home just like VMK.
We don't own a kinect game system and I'd buy one in a heartbeat just for this game but the big problem is
princess won't be able to do any of this -she'll only be able to watch. While she has gotten very weak this past year she can still operate the computer on her own. She wants to play her way and have some independence.It's almost like
a slap in the face-taking away VMK from her and then bringing out such a realistic type park experience game
that you have to be able to stand, walk, jump, move your arms etc. to play it.
I've been trying to take her to WDW for 2 years now. Her health has not been stable enough to make the long trip.
If only I could bring disney into our home again. Why can't they make these games accessible? I have a stack of wii
games for her that sit unopened. She has to rely on someone else to set this up and play it for her as she watches.
Another new game coming out by disney is called Disney Universe. Supposedly it will be on every platform including PC/Mac according to an ablegamers site I found. Princes has asked Disney Interactive Studios about this and the kinect game. If anyone would be wiling to comment on princess's post on facebook she would appreciate the support and back up. So far there has not been any response from disney. Oh BIG surprise right??? :uhuh:

We, too were saddened to see this only for the Kinect system. We really wish Disney would have offered this for all platforms, including wii and the pc. There has been some concern in the gaming community about too many new platforms and games being released for players who have full body movement. There was an article a few months ago in a gaming magazine about this, it was written by a guy in a wheelchair who cannot play the new Kinect system. Hopefully the more awareness people bring to this topic, gaming companies will begin to listen. For many people with illnesses and disabilities gaming is a way to escape and relax, let's hope there are always options for that.

Just because I am missing a game related to theme parks when I cant be in a real one, I guess I will need to buy a kinect if the game is going to be available in europe :sos:

Its funny, I was just telling my friends about this game and then came here and saw this post. A friend in game was telling me about this game and how great it was. I never saw it until Thanksgiving, when over a relative's house I found out they had it and tried it out. I am not able to move so well and after playing this ./; (sorry youngest cat on the keyboard lol) I was very, very sore and in bad pain, but did think it was fun to play. I did find somethings that I wish were better and glad I had not got the game for myself yet as it will probably come out with a better version in the future. What I was thinking should be better should be: 1. Let you interact with the crowd and maybe making some of the crowd be other players all over the world like VMK once was and 2. They should have different seasons reflected in the game and maybe some holidays. Won't it be nice in winter time with snow and lights all around the park?
I only played it that one night, but that is how I feel about it. Hopefully, in the future, it will be able to do that and much more. :)

WooHoo! Santa brought an XBox Kinect for me & DH! And DH got me the the Disneyland game! He should get it hooked up this afternoon and hopefully I can play later! :yes!:

Santa came to our house too and we were apparently good enough to get a Kinect system with this game! :yes!: :yes!: :yes!: We will be hooking it up tomorrow. Looks like some of my movement therapy may be "Disney Style"! :thumb: :2thunbs: :clapping:

Whoa--now I understand what Krazy was talking about! Granted it's late and I had a long day but that Matterhorn game left me feeling wiped out. It WAS fun though!
