The race is about to start and Denny Hamlin is on the pole tonight. Woot! Hope you all got your picks in last night. See you after the race!

Yes, I am happy with the race so far too Daz! I picked Hamlin but not Martin unfortunately. I am so happy Mark is doing well today. He is one of my favorite drivers. Been a pretty safe race so far. What did you think of Montoya putting himself into the wall? rofl

I'm so confused.  Was the race tonight?  I thought the races were all on Sundays. 

Why didn't anyone get very many points?  I got none at all but I saw a few people got 10 or 15 points. 

Can someone plz explain this to me like I'm 5?   :lolp:

This was traditional short track racing under the lights.  While most Cup races are on Sunday there are a few here and there that are for various reasons held on different days. 


as far as scoring I am unfamiliar with the Yahoo system as of yet and haven't looked so I will leave that to a fantasy expert   :notme:

What you saw were the qualifying points. Drivers that qualify 1-4 are awarded bonus points, 10 for 1st, 5 for 2nd, cant remember what for 3rd and 4th. After qualifying you can change to your other driver and you still keep these points.

 And nobody else got points yet because yahoo is slow about updating so it takes some time. Cant complain much when its free.


 FYI:
 After you pick the drivers you want for a certain week, come back and check how they did in qualifying. You get 2 A drivers to pick in qualifying but only 1 can actually be active for the race, so I usually pick the 1 who did the best in qualifying. Same thing with C drivers, and B drivers you start with 4 but only 2 can be used during the rece.

 Just make sure you have your drivers set to active to score before the race, or you wont get any points.

Thanks for the explanation Gas!  No complaints here about the speed of their update.  I just didn't realize that it can take some time.  Now I know to shut up and be patient.   :rofl1:

I'm still down here in 7th place but I'm working my way up.  Just got to get past Ant first.   :gas1:

Excellent scores! Keep up the good work everyone. I see Decoy got his points back from me and then some! LOL. If Denny Hamlin would have only hung in there and won the race, I would have been sitting pretty right now. Oh well, next week. Good work all!
