VFK Watermelon Quest!
7:00 A.M. Pacific Time Sunday, June 25th, 2017 to 10:00 P.M. Pacific Time Monday, June 26th, 2017.
It is officially summer, and the long days bring opportunities to relax in the sun! When sunbathing, eating fresh fruit is always refreshing, especially if that fruit is watermelon! The main problem with this refreshing red summer treat, is what to do with the seeds! This problem has been tackled all over the country, and one solution involves some fun! When summer rolls around, many communities have a watermelon festival, usually with the highlight being a "seed spitting contest"! So, eat up a big tasty watermelon, and collect up some seeds, we are going to look at the fun festivals honoring the wonderful watermelon!
