VFK Astronomy Quest!
7:00 A.M. Pacific Time Sunday, April 30th, 2017 to 10:00 P.M. Pacific Time Monday, May 1st, 2017.
April 29th was Astronomy Day! This day originally started out as a new way to bring Astronomy to the public. It was intended to introduce different ways to people, for how they can become involved with astronomy, and it was widely successful! Astronomy Day finishes off Astronomy Week, that started on the previous Monday and ends today. Astronomy clubs worldwide have programs and events that allow people to find out about astronomy. Looking back at important figures in astronomy, we recognize the major contributions of many great men who risked their lives in the name of science, because they made discoveries that ran contrary to popular opinion. On today's quest, let's look at some of these accomplishments, and revolutionary contributions to Astronomy!
