The Halloween Corn Maze starts tonight at 6PM PST/9PM EST. Looks like credits or items for finishing! Woot! :wavet:

Here is the new Victorian Map. I guess this is where we will go for the maze. I wonder if there might be a haunted house in our future? :hmmmm:

Not open yet and now I can't get into the game other than in solo mode.

You have to walk into the corn maze from the map. Then you go to a corn maze room. Then - I crash.
ETA: For anyone who didn't see the in game announcement: Use A S D and W to move through the maze tot he cauldron. That said, I have crashed 9 times. Good luck all!

Sounds from the replies so far, that the already bad lag, is a true Halloween nightmare with the added incentive of a new prize each hour, bringing and keeping so many more players on. (Nice :td: planning VFK. Sounds great, but if noone can enjoy it..)
Btw, did anyone else, circa 2005 VMK Halloween Maze Disaster, catch the irony?

I was able to go right through. VFK Staff are telling people to clear their cache to enter the maze. Maybe that is the answer. It worked for me.

I only got 20 credits, but hey at least it worked and was totally random!
Seems like they took out the corn stalks for the corn maze. That apparently is what was causing everyone's browser to crash. Sounds silly, but once they took out the corn stalks, I got in just fine ~ without crashing.
Worth repeating... you can only get 1 prize, once an hour.
Good Luck on getting in, and getting that cauldron everyone! :thumb:

Okay, I got a big empty brown square to walk across. Found the finish at one edge and walked all around it but apparently didn't get anything. What's it supposed to look like?
ETA: I didn't realize you had to click on the cauldron. Someone helped me and I got 60 credits. I couldn't seen anyone else though--just their chat.

There is a bubbling cauldron located to the far left middle of the big brown square. Click on it and win your prize. :)

Just an update: 1:30am EST and you can still go through the maze. Woot to being able to play after hours. So, for all of you night owls here, this may be a good time to hop on. This also gives you more chances to win a bubbling cauldron aka "King's Cauldron". :rofl1:

In case anyone is wondering... The Maze is still active as of right now. Prize is still a Cauldron, as I finally got one!

New Maze is up and the screen is now to have the whole room in one view with an actual Corn Maze. The lag is horrendous and if you are fortunate enough to get in as single player mode it makes it much easier. Can't post a pic yet, but the prize is now a Cauldron with Orange mist as opposed to a Green Mist which was given earlier.

The lag is much worse today than it was last night with the empty maze room. It is even worse when people enter using their fairy magic. I did get a picture of the new maze room. Also, today, you must use the arrow keys to move around, not W,A,S,D.

Princess thanks for helping me navigate last night. I would have been lost with out both you and Space Grumpy to guide me. I was so lost wondering why I didn't see and maze walls. There weren't any! :doh:

Krazy, we got extra green cauldrons just in case. We will meet up in game and give you one. Also, if anyone else was not able to get a green cauldron, just pm myself or King. OK there is another maze room with corn and it is difficult and VERY laggy. I made it through on King's character without crashing and made a guide to the maze.

I also heard there is a short cut in the maze today, but when I tried the maze it froze up my entire computer so I had to restart.

I know of one that is a little bit longer then the one above, but I don't do it as a fairy.

yeah I got through after 30 minutes of trying to walk this thing. I only got 60 credits no cauldron but with out this map and the instruction to use arrow keys I would have just given up. Thanks for the help

I finally got through the maze a few times using PrincessWendy's shortcut, yay! Received credits only though :( Most of the time though I have terrible lag which turns into computer freezing where I end up closing the game in frustration. :bm: THIS is NOT the relaxation I wanted from a game :td:

The short cut of just flying did not work this morning just did it think they found out and blocked it but dreams easy way got me through. But wings helped me get there faster lol. And I got 100 credits but no cauldron oh well.

I do have to say there were MANY people complaining about others using fairy magic in the maze. To that I say, it really helped many of us cut down on the frustration of being stuck in the maze and getting out a lot faster. I don't think the lag had to do with the fairy magic, I think it had to do with the amount of people stuck in one room at one time. Or, trying to force your computer to get your through the maze, when you couldn't.

I'm not sure where the idea of the "wing" route has come from, but just to encourage others to keep trying, I did my route AND Princess's "straight line route" last night AND this morning without wings. It's not the wings that let's you go the shorter routes. It's finding the exact spot where there are openings. And it's a good thing because those 60 credits were just waiting for me today! grrrr Anyone else saying, "No whammie, no whammies, cauldron!"? (Doesn't work, btw! LOL)

Also, Dreams is correct, I did the straight line route right through the maze just simply walking through. Maybe that will help those that crash to get to the end before crashing. Hugs and good luck everyone!

They should make the fairy magic wings not move, that rapid movement is what is effecting peoples computers. If you want to move fast and not effect everyone else, use the wolf magic please.

Quite honestly, I can't control my Wolf - it doesn't know how to walk anywhere I want, let alone the corn. (Yes, I am being serious). I never use the magic. That is why Fairy is my preference, to hurry up and get out.
I am sorry if it's affecting others. It's not my intent obviously. I don't really notice a difference if I am the only fairy in the room. Yes, I do notice a difference when there are multiple fairies in the room (I'm not just talking the maze either - ANY room). So, it's not just my computer. But I also am not one to hang out in the maze room either. I get in, get out, and get on with life.
I learned later today that you can just walk through just as fast as using the fairy magic now anyway, so I'm not using it anymore.
If I want to place blame anywhere though.. I will blame VFK. Don't make a magic if it is causing game problems for player's computers, and we're not allowed to use it. Release it, when we can use it then. It's like showing a mouse a piece of cheese that they can't have. ;)

I was not blaming you, just letting you know it does effect some of us. And yes 2 fairies in any room effect me also and so does all that movement in merlins shop.
I think they should change fairy magic to a pair of motionless wings and try that.

I agree with you too, make the fairy magic wings motionless then and see how that works. As long as we have the speed to get where we need to go. At least VFK could try and resolve the issues with fairy magic then.

Why doesn't anyone talk? I have been on the maps and in the maze this weekend. Is there some penalty for speaking in VFK? Often I see 10 people just standing on the map and no one speaking. :??:

ROFL! I really haven't either. I think everyone is in "maze mode". And we're becoming zombies.
I know in the maze rooms, if I'm concentrating, I don't really talk. Because otherwise I end up in part of the maze that I don't want to be in, and get stuck! :lolg:

I hate when they do this, but are standing on a spot you want to go and then they don't move out of the way. You can't get around them either. Very annoying.

Oh, I just learned the Pink Cauldron has a bug. If you place it then rotate it once it blinks from blue to pink!!
Cool bug hope they do not change it.

Had enough of the Maze? Well.... just when we thought it was over! Rainbow colored, changing cauldron prize in the maze today! it's SOOOO cool!
It goes from green to blue to purple to pink to orange to green.

I can't get any of the outlined paths above to work today. I hit blocks in every one of them. Is it just me?

I was definitely NOT in the same maze as yesterday, there was very clearly a new path.

I can still get through in a straight line more or less, but it's more difficult. The spots to break through seem to be in different spots.

I stayed up all night thinking the maze would end yesterday and when I come back from sleeping late I see its still going. Then to top it off on my Mom's first try this very very rude girl stood there and won't move. She got me stuck and called me stop. id, but I found a sort of straight path and she went all the way through the maze. I felt better when Mom won a cauldron on her first try though and I could see the girl was fuming about it. I wrote her title down and sent out a help message too. Hopefully, she will get banned. I asked nicely to please move and she acts like a jerk? I hope she does get banned. :bm:

Yep. That's what I was saying above. They have changed the maze. In addition to other things, the short route does not work. Sorry I wasn't more clear. Day 6 of being sick is getting to me. lol
