Title: SL withdrawls
Post by: hrhkit on March 29, 2007, 12:40 AM
OK, how am I going to survive without SL for a week? Huh? Huh? Tell me! I am in my room in Berlin right now, it's 9:30 am, been awake since 3 am, up since 4:30 am. Walked around downtown from 7:30 until 9...thinking the stores would open for some shopping...nope.  :what: So here I am...bored. DH is at his conference. Can't even go on VMK cause it's like 12:33 AM Pacific Time.  >:( Already did my brainking games (hint, hint Be and Duck.he). Already updated my travelogues for this trip. What's a girl to do?  :D I can't put SL on the laptop...DH would kill me.  :notme: Guess I'll go get a spa treatment. I miss you guys...

p.s. They lost our luggage. All I have to wear is the clothes I had on from 24 hrs of travelling and a full length formal gown.  Ah, the adventures of traveling...

Kit, reporting live from Berlin

Awww, poor Kit...

I'll be sure to get back to our game, so you can likely continue to kick my butt.

Well, I didn't get a spa treatment, couldn't translate the damn spa menu from German, lol. Jet lag is kicking my butt...took 3 naps yesterday. So far haven't had a drop of beer, sorry. Although I did have some German wine last night that was quite good. We ate in a restaurant in East Berlin. :) I'll try to have some beer for ya today, papa.  ;D

Talk to y'all later, Kit in Berlin

You couldn't translate the spa menu? so?? Just point and say, I want that, and see what happens.  ::) Where's your sense of adventure, Kit?  :cool2:  Did your luggage ever show up, or are you traipsing around Germany in your formal gown?

Oh Duck, you know me too well.  I guess it's a good thing that it's not me left to my own devices in Germany.  Who knows where I'd end up!  I can say "ich bin hunrig" (I think that's  right...) so at least I should be able to eat ... something. Again, who knows what it would turn out to be. :D

The adventurer, the explorer,  but definitely NOT the navigator!

Hey, y'all...

I made it home...

Chris...had to laugh... ::) Where's my sense of adventure?  ??? ok. Actually, I was too damn tired to go have a spa treatment. I really wanted to though...since they don't use ANY drapes or towels or anything like that in Europe...I was super curious to see what it would be like!   :o  (Next time!...when I'm awake...lol).

OK...papa...had some Warsteiner beer for you. It was good! But the best beer was in Prague! I just got in last night, so I'll have to get all the names for you (still need to get everything unpacked, and I have notes all over the place). One is called Staropramen, one is Urquell off the top of my head. I'm not a big beer drinker, but I liked their beer. In fact, I had to have some at the airport before we got on the plane.  >:D Also had an appertif called Becherovka (in fact, we bought a bottle!) made from 34 herbs and it's idk 20% alcohol I think. We did shots of it at this old tavern we went to with our new friends we met on the train from Berlin to Prague. As a side note, they still sell Absinthe in Prague. I'm too chicken to try that stuff. NO WAY! Anyway, for the beer...go to Prague. :)

Oh, and the coolest place we went...with our new friends...we sat outside and shared a bottle of Czech wine under the Charles bridge next to the river just down from an old mill. It was lit only by candlelight. We joked that there should be gypsies there or trolls or something. It was super cool. I'll have to post pics of it...there's just no way to describe it properly.

all for now, Kit

p.s. Our second bag did finally show up in the late afternoon! yay!
