Title: How do you paint your clothes?

I'm trying to make myself an avatar and I see you can paint your clothes.  It says "Use the brush to color your clothes." and I have no clue how to do it.   I clicked on my clothes, clicked and dragged, clicked on the clothes that weren't on me.   :??: :??:  I'm lost. Please help.

Hugs! Click on a paint color then click on your clothes (only certain parts can be painted, and I don't believe shoes can be painted).

So if the clothes don`t turn colors then it can`t be done?  Thanks for the info.  Hopefully I can get my avi looking beautiful.  :)
