The photos of polar bears in Mysterios now makes more sense.
Not sure if a sticky should be started for monthly items:
From the SW Blog:
We’ll be releasing monthly collectible items on the 1st of every month from 1 December ‘08 on! The first collectible item is a Polar Bear suit. Collectibles will be limited to one per registered user - available in the all new “new items” section at Mysterios.
12/3 Update:Monthly collectibles will generally be available at the beginning of the month but December's wont be available for about another week. I asked a staff member if they knew what XP track would be needed for the suit. He did not know. The squirrel suit is on the artist track and the panda is on the explorer track.

This item is not in Mysterios, yet. Isn't it cute!!!!!!

Since it is something so new an not yet released I have no idea. My guess (and hope) would be it would work like a wearable, not like a one use magic trick.
