I was running one of my clones through the scavenger hunt and this window came up and said (with audio)
Congratulations! You have won a chance to win gifts worth over 50.00$
Real or Scam???
Anyone else seen this window?

Rosie, you should send in a Help report with a link to the picture you took. I am not sure about this. Our son took a look and said he has seen similar things on a few sites he uses, but we have had trouble with their laptop in the past and recently had to "dump it". :??: Let us know if you find anything out...

I didn't actualy click on it and I have entered a help request twice with no reply yet. It was under one of my clone accounts.

Not a vfk generated thing. Notice that it just repeats the url, not the company or game name? Sorry, you got an adware/spyware.

I just can't help making the comment that even if it were real, I would not count on getting any free gifts from them. This is a week area fr them. Still waiting on my free membership gifts from ....what like two years ago???
I do agree however you were redirected most likely by some type of adware infection.

Sorry Rosie, but I too think this is adware/spyware. I use to have pop up problems before (a long time ago), but now I have like three spam checkers on my computer and don't have that problem anymore. I have not seen this and I think if there was a contest they would of did it as a game pop up and not a seperate screen pop up like this one is. You might want to scan your computer for any viruses or add ones you might of picked up while looking at some websites.

Yup! Y'all are right. When I told my husband about it he went to run spybot and realized that he forgot to put it back on after wiping the computer a few weeks ago. I'm totally suprised that we didn't have problems sooner. lol
But he took care of the problem and put spybot back on.
Anyhew! All is well now. :thumb:

Awesome! Glad you got it fixed before some real bad stuff happened!
Spybot is a great scanner. Adaware (free version) works well, too. I always run 2 different ones. Sometimes one finds something the other doesn't :)

Thanks Flame! Adaware found 42 things that Spybot didn't find!

Yw :) Use them both. It helps to clear your browsers cookies before using these types of programs. You'll have way less 'hits'. ;)
