VFK Neon Quest!
7:00 A.M. Pacific Time Sunday, January 22nd, 2017 to 10:00 P.M. Pacific Time Monday, January 23rd, 2017.
The beauty and versatility of the neon sign, resulted in glass neon tubes being twisted into nearly any shape desired, with the ability to be lit with a glowing palette of colors! This meant that when America started travelling the highways in the 1950's and 1960's, that advertisers lit up the roadsides, streets and store fronts with innovative and attention getting brightly lit neon signs! Many of the signs have fallen into obscurity, and some have been preserved, but everyone agrees that the heyday of neon helped to shape the image of American cities at night! On our quest today, let's look at the bright history of neon signs!
