Title: Today's (3/1) Ride-a-Thon Prize info and peek at new PPR items!
Post by: Purpleduck on March 01, 2008, 08:12 AM
NINE rooms to the ride-a-thon!!  You get the prize in room 7.  (This is Host_Bella's "South" queue, don't know if others will be different for number of rooms.)

Okay, here is prize.. guess this is one ride-a-thon I don't need to do :(  (http://img185.imageshack.us/img185/3148/0bellaprizenm7.jpg)

Room pics coming up for sneak peek at new PPR items:

Ant, I am going to move your post to a new thread over in new items (if I can lol), since it is not to do with the ride-a-thon.

Prize and pics of new PPR items now posted in first post here ;)

The rooms look gorgeous, but my mind is saying that if they release all the pretty stuff to the players, no one in VMK will have a penny left in their accounts. I love new stuff, but it should be released at a much slower rate. With POTC being out, it cuts a lot of time off playing VMK for some of us. I am off to work this weekend and will miss the ride a thon. Oh Oh Oh and I would call in sick and ride all day for a Jalapeno on a Stick hee hee hee hee hee...........................Fee

Right now there is a back up on the East Ride.  A queue of 50-75 within the ride.

i have to laugh that Capt_Jack_Sparrow is there.... even though he doesn't talk... it just funny..

idk, i see it as a good profit... you can sell it for 50 credits... so lets say you went on it 50 times... so 50 x 50... 2500? idk... just for sitting... that pretty good... thats what i use to do with the sword pins, sell it instead of using the pin, I sold it... but you would make on 40 credits on it...

The rooms are very nice.  I like that there are options to hop back on track if you fall off.  Just start clicking all the track you see. In the second cave room posted there is a piece of track behind the brown Davy Jones treasure chest that gets you back on.

Oh is that where it is??!! I had to start over in line because I couldn't find the piece to click on so I just gave up. I have found it in other rooms i've been stuck in, just that one threw me for a loop. But then again, throwing me for a loop isn't difficult.  :lolg:

I have to say that the staff at VMK did a very clever job of recreating Disneyland's version of POTC!  I was very impressed.  :bow2:

It was especially funny to have had Jack Sparrow sitting on his throne in one of the rooms, but he was only there for a few hours this morning.  I wonder if somebody besides VMK created him to just sit there?

I also love how people started jumping off the ride (so much for "Please keep your arms and feet inside the boat at all times!"  LOL!!) to greet everyone riding.  Some of them were very funny!   :laugh2:  Maybe one too many cocktails in the Blue Bayou?   ;)

I was riding with you towards the end there Cloudy.. but I was a clone, and with the lag and brief time in each room could not even try to explain it was me.  Anyway, yes, the few that "jumped ship" were pretty funny, whether dancing or just being silly.  (I "almost" jumped ship in two spots where I saw someone had left those Mickey surprise gifts.. I was very curious.. but not enough to validate waiting in line all over again LOL)

That Capt Jack Sparrow was a "VMK" creation as I remember when I had clicked on him, it had the orange badge of staff.
