Title: Flickr Frames
Post by: Kat on June 11, 2008, 08:08 AM
So I got one of these fancy schmancy frames from a mission.  I created an account at Flickr.com.  I uploaded several photos.  I tried to find them from the frame by clicking on configure item.  I searched by my username, my yahoo name, I even added tags to the photos and tried searching by that.  None of my pictures would come up.  :sos:  What am I doing wrong?

Ooooo, great question gf!

I just won one of those frames this morning from a mission too!  I haven't done all you have yet, to try to set it up, but what perfect timing (for me) to have you ask this!

Hi,

To put a picture in the picture frame you first need a flickr account. The basic account is free and gives plenty of upload space. You then upload your favorite pictures to your account. You MUST make sure you set your pictures to anyone can view them. If they are set on private they will not show up for you in the search. Now when you have your frame on the wall you click it and click configure. When the box comes up you type in your flickr account name and hit search. A list of all your pictures you have on that account come up. When you see a picture you want to add from your pics mouse over it and there is a + sign. Click that and it adds it to your frame. You can also add multiple pics and under options set it up as a slide show.

Important! If you do not want anyone changing your pics on you (deleting and adding) be sure to configure the item so that only you can use the item(owner).

This is one of my favorite features on SW is adding my own pictures to my room.

Good answer Bug - Thanks! You all are way ahead of me.  Since they made me delete my cat I am afraid to get to comfortable in case it ends up being effected by a Mission that will come later.
