It's true, Feathers got the following update during his expedition:

Previous comments from other players, that suggested this was a challenging game, seem to be about right.  It is one long logic puzzle. 

I did seek advice from a friend who has been through it already.  Thankfully, she has only provided basic clues, so I have had to figure a lot out myself, which is more interesting than being given all the answers. 

Here are a few pics (that I could remember to take ).  I am still on the planet, have finally gotten inside the doors, but have reached an impass, and will need guidance tomorrow to continue.

Spent A LOT of time on the game today.  Did need a few more hints, and one outright answer.  I have now finished on the angry planet!         I was returned to the Galactic Trading Post, and an expedition pop up said I was five sectors from the Space Port.

Then, the next area is the tunnel maze.



Finally, you find the door to the treasure room.



After you collect the treasure, you are ready to leave the planet.  When you get to the ship, you may choose ANY five items from your "tool" area to come home with you.  As you can see, the treasure room, along with some new items, does contain the "Very Common" items as well.

Okay, here's the booty!  I stopped in today, and got the message with the goods.  I was surprised to learn that I got a "normal" treasure set, along with the five items I had chosen to bring home!

While I took a pic of Feathers with his booty, I decided to post a pic of the item list, so we could see those "scarcity" terms on the new items as well.
