Walking lag?

Is it me...or does it seem that the worst cause of lag lately is:  other people walking?  I swear, ever since Halloween, if someone starts walking in a room, lag goes through the roof.  Fairies aren't bad at all compared to it!  Anyone?  o.o

Its not just you Flame, I think the snow and leaving footprints is lagging us up.  I think it is putting a strain on the server since everyone is doing it and not just one person.  Plus all the snow falling and fairies every where for the host hunts doesn't help either.  :(
